About the Role
Join a real estate law practice advising developers, property owners, institutions, and investors on land use and zoning matters in New York City. Your work will help clients assess development opportunities and secure approvals for projects across the city.
What You'll Do
Conduct zoning due diligence for acquisitions and financings, and prepare written analyses of floor area, use, bulk, height, and setbacks.
Advise clients on development rights transactions, including air rights and zoning lot development agreements.
Prepare and manage land use applications, including ULURP, BSA variances and special permits, landmark matters, and environmental review.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, community boards, and elected officials throughout public review.
Work with transactional attorneys on real estate acquisitions and development projects.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of experience interpreting and applying the New York City Zoning Resolution, gained at a law firm, in government, or in a combination of settings.
Hands-on experience with zoning due diligence, written zoning analyses, or land use applications such as ULURP, BSA, or LPC matters.
Admission to the New York State Bar.
Strong knowledge of New York City land use and zoning regulations.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range is $250,000 to $275,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
