What You’ll Own

• Close Leadership: Lead month-end and year-end close activities, monitoring progress, clearing blockers, and holding deadlines.
• Complex Accounting: Own complex journal entries, reconciliations, and non-routine transactions, and document conclusions for Controller sign-off.
• Review & Coaching: Review the work of staff and senior accountants, giving clear feedback that reduces repeat errors.
• US GAAP Reporting: Maintain accurate financial statements under US GAAP and explain material variances.
• Audit & Controls: Prepare PBC schedules, support auditor requests, and fix control gaps in recurring workflows.
• Process Improvement: Improve SOPs, checklists, and review processes, including where AI and automation can help.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 6+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on ownership of the month-end close.
• Review & guidance: Experience reviewing or guiding other accountants’ work, formally or informally.
• Accounting standards: US GAAP experience, or strong IFRS or Argentine GAAP experience with exposure to US clients or entities.
• Technical depth: Confidence handling complex reconciliations and non-routine accounting issues.
• Good English communication: Confidence working directly with US finance teams.

Good to Have

• Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero, or similar accounting ERPs.
• Multi-entity or intercompany accounting experience.
• Contador Público, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Big 4 or public accounting experience, or experience with US startups and growing businesses.
