Role: Lead Development Representative (LDR)

Priority Location: South Africa (Secondary: LATAM)

Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), aligned with US business hours / client time zones

Salary Range: $1,500 - $2,000 USD per month base salary, plus variable bonuses of $25 - $50 USD per attended, qualified meeting (The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)

About the Role: As a Lead Development Representative (LDR), you will own top-of-funnel outbound prospecting and serve as the driving engine behind our sales pipeline. Working in close collaboration with executive leadership, you will convert raw procurement intelligence into qualified, high-intent sales meetings for outside sales representatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to directly impact business growth and master cutting-edge sales technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute structured daily outbound cold calling, email, and prospecting sequences utilizing specialized sales intelligence tools.
  • Drive sales pipeline growth by scheduling confirmed, high-intent meetings for field and outside sales representatives.
  • Screen and qualify prospective decision-makers to ensure alignment with core service offerings and criteria.
  • Track prospect engagement to maximize attendance and conversion rates for all scheduled meetings.
  • Engage directly with high-level decision-makers and executive stakeholders via clear, persuasive phone and written communication.
  • Maintain clean data entries and tracking records within CRM systems to measure pipeline health and outreach efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Native-level fluency in written and spoken English with exceptional phone communication skills (Required).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, outbound cold calling, appointment setting, or tele-sales (Required).
  • Proven experience operating effectively within B2B or B2G sales environments (Required).
  • High technical aptitude and comfort learning new sales software and intelligence platforms (Required).
  • Ability to utilize AI productivity tools to streamline workflows and accelerate daily tasks (Preferred).
  • Experience with public sector sales intelligence tools (Preferred).
