Lead Enterprise Architect

Lead Enterprise Architect – Public Sector – Finland – Remote

Empiric are looking for a Finnish-speaking Lead Enterprise Architect to help shape a new architecture centre of excellence within a Finnish central government agency.

You’ll provide architectural direction across multiple development initiatives and services, helping establish a consistent approach to enterprise architecture across the organisation.

This role combines architecture leadership with hands-on modelling and Sparx Enterprise Architect expertise, offering the opportunity to influence how the new architecture function operates from the outset.

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Lead Enterprise Architect across at least three client projects, each lasting six months or more.
• Hands-on UML, BPMN and ArchiMate modelling experience across at least two client projects, each lasting six months or more.
• Sparx Enterprise Architect experience covering tool use, modelling and repository management across at least one client project lasting six months or more.
• Experience guiding architecture across multiple development initiatives or services, demonstrated through at least three client projects, each lasting six months or more.
• Excellent Finnish and English language skills are mandatory.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with critical infrastructure information systems, particularly transport.
• Knowledge of public-sector information management.
• Experience establishing enterprise architecture governance.
• Experience developing or operating an architecture centre of excellence.
• Experience delivering training and facilitating workshops.

Contract Details

Location: Helsinki, Finland

Work Mode: Remote, with meetings via Teams

Contract Setup: Freelance / B2B

Duration: 3-year agreement, with a further 2-year extension option
