Welcome to Mandai X. Role Purpose Ranger Buddies is an action-led children’s growth franchise that turns stories and everyday moments into playful, real-world adventures. We are seeking an experienced educator or child-development specialist to lead the application of our future-ready growth framework across Ranger Buddies—from missions and animation to parent content, marketing and partnerships. The role will ensure that everything we create is: Engaging and age-appropriate for children Credible and valuable to parents Grounded in clear child-development principles Applied consistently across content, products and experiences This is not a traditional curriculum role. It sits at the intersection of education, storytelling, product design, entertainment, and parenting. Job Duties and Responsibilities 1. Codify the Framework Turn C.O.U.R.A.G.E. into a clear, practical child-growth framework that teams and partners can use. This includes: Defining the strengths, capabilities and observable behaviours within the framework Establishing age-appropriate expectations for children aged 4–9 Creating clear principles, tools and guidelines for applying the framework Ensuring developmental claims are credible and do not overstate impact 2. Embed Framework into Missions and Experiences Work with the Missions, Product and Experience teams to translate developmental outcomes into activities children genuinely want to complete and repeat. The role will: Review and guide mission concepts and mechanics Ensure children learn through action, choice and reflection—not instruction alone Balance pedagogical value with fun, agency, storytelling and play Develop reusable mission-design principles that can scale across home, school, parks and partner locations 3. Guide Animation and Storytelling Partner with writers, producers and the IP team to integrate the framework naturally into character journeys and stories. The role will: Advise on age-appropriate themes, behaviours and developmental arcs Help characters model confidence, resilience, care, creativity and collaboration Ensure educational intentions strengthen rather than interrupt entertainment Connect stories to meaningful real-world missions and actions 4. Build Parent Trust and Thought Leadership Establish Ranger Buddies as a trusted and accessible voice on raising confident, capable and caring children. The role will: Develop the parent proposition behind the framework Create or review parenting articles, videos, toolkits and social content Translate research into practical guidance parents can use in daily life Support parent workshops, media engagements and strategic partnerships Address relevant parenting concerns without making Ranger Buddies feel like another class or academic programme 5. Establish Quality and Evidence Standards Create a practical governance system that protects the integrity of Ranger Buddies as it scales. The role will: Review key missions, content and parent-facing claims Define what evidence is needed to support developmental benefits Guide the development of progress tools such as the parent dashboard Work with Product and Insights teams to evaluate child engagement, repeat participation and parent-observed value Ensure partner and marketing objectives never compromise child value or parent trust What Success Looks Like in the First Two Years A clear and usable framework is adopted across Ranger Buddies Missions and content consistently reflect agreed child-development principles Teams and partners have practical guidelines they can apply independently Ranger Buddies has a credible parent proposition and regular thought-leadership content Developmental claims and progress measures follow clear evidence standards Children demonstrate strong engagement and voluntary repeat participation Parents increasingly recognise Ranger Buddies as a trusted child-growth partner Job Requirements Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: Strong expertise in education, child development, learning sciences or a related field At least 10 years of relevant experience Experience designing learning frameworks, programmes, media or experiences for children A strong understanding of children aged approximately 4–9 Experience translating theory into engaging and practical applications The ability to collaborate with creative, product, marketing and commercial teams Strong communication skills with both professional and parent audiences Sound judgement regarding evidence, developmental claims and child wellbeing Experience in children’s media, entertainment, games, attractions, educational technology or parenting content would be advantageous Personal Attributes We are looking for someone who is: Child-centred and committed to creating experiences children choose Evidence-led without being overly academic Creative, practical and commercially aware Comfortable influencing multidisciplinary teams Able to protect pedagogical integrity while enabling speed and innovation Excited to build a new system from the ground up Locations Mandai X Remote status Hybrid Employment type Full-time Function Mandai X
