Lead Product Manager Trade Finance

Role Description The Lead Product Manager Trade Finance is a full-time role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur, offered on a hybrid basis with a mix of on-site and work-from-home arrangements. In this role, the individual leads the product vision and roadmap for trade finance solutions powered by governed AI and automation, aligning product strategy with client and market needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing requirements from stakeholders, translating customer and regulatory needs into product features, and overseeing end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through launch and iteration. The role collaborates closely with engineering, design, data science, and implementation teams to deliver high-quality, scalable trade finance products. The Lead Product Manager also monitors product performance, conducts market and competitor analysis, and regularly engages with client teams to refine the product and support successful adoption.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in product management, including defining product strategy, managing roadmaps, and leading cross-functional delivery for financial services or trade finance solutions.
• Solid understanding of trade finance products and processes (e.g., letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain finance) and familiarity with banking operations, risk, and compliance in this domain.
• Experience working with technology and AI-driven solutions, including collaborating with engineering and data teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Skilled in stakeholder management, communication, and presentation, with the ability to influence senior partners and facilitate alignment across business and technology teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including using data and metrics to evaluate product performance, identify opportunities, and drive decision-making.
• Proven experience leading initiatives in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating autonomy, accountability, and effective remote collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications in product management or trade finance are an advantage.
• Prior experience in banking, fintech, or enterprise software for financial institutions is highly beneficial, along with exposure to AI governance or digital transformation projects.
