Become a part of our caring community
Join a world-class marketing organization creating the best possible engagement experience for millions of members. Humana is a $100+ billion, Fortune 50, healthcare leader dedicated to improving the health and well-being of some of the most vulnerable populations in the United States—seniors, people with disabilities, and lower-income Americans. Humana is uniquely positioned to transform healthcare delivery by making high-quality care more affordable, accessible, and secure through integrated healthcare services, innovative technology, and data-driven solutions.
To help deliver on this mission, we are seeking an experienced Lead Product Manager to own the strategy and delivery of the measurement and reporting product for Next Best Action (NBA). This role is responsible for defining how the enterprise measures NBA effectiveness—establishing a unified measurement strategy, KPI framework, and reporting capability that spans business outcomes, model performance, and operational metrics.
Working across cross-functional and cross-data science teams, you will translate business questions into a coherent measurement approach and partner closely with data science, analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, decision-ready reporting. In partnership with the Director, Product Management, you will own this portion of the product portfolio lifecycle—to include vision, strategy, roadmap, delivery, and value measurement—and help mature the organization’s product operating model by establishing a common measurement language that integrates diverse workstreams without threatening existing ownership structures.
Role Responsibilities
Measurement Strategy & Vision
- Define and communicate a compelling measurement strategy and roadmap for NBA, translating multi-year business goals and stakeholder questions into a unified, outcome-driven measurement approach.
- Establish a KPI and metric framework that clearly distinguishes business KPIs / NBA effectiveness, model performance, and operational metrics, and connects each to the decisions it informs.
- Possess strong business acumen—understanding overall business strategy and how measurement aligns— bridging the gap between high-level strategic planning and hands-on tactical execution.
- Define success metrics before build and ensure measurement requirements are considered at the earliest stages of use case discovery and design.
Cross-functional & Cross-Data Science Team Leadership
- Own the measurement relationship across cross-functional and cross-data science teams, serving as the primary point of contact for measurement and reporting questions and decisions.
- Partner with data science and analytics teams to align on model performance metrics, evaluation approaches, and how model outputs roll up into business and operational reporting.
- Work with matrix partners to translate required capabilities into concrete operational processes and measurement plans, ensuring alignment across Marketing, Digital, call center (CCC), IT, and insurance organizations.
- Proactively build relationships with key upstream and downstream stakeholders, facilitating regular, transparent communication and providing the decision-making criteria behind priorities.
Reporting Delivery & Execution
- Own the end-to-end delivery of NBA reporting capabilities, leading the cycle from requirements to launch—planning, prioritizing, and executing feature sets.
- Define, prioritize, and maintain the measurement and reporting backlog, continuously refining and re-sequencing based on stakeholder value, business impact, and changing priorities.
- Create well-defined product requirements and acceptance criteria, validating report and dashboard designs with stakeholders before build.
- Guide PI Planning and execution, providing clarifications for epics and features, engaging agile teams, and adjusting priorities based on team input and constraints.
- Ensure quality and trust in reporting through appropriate validation, ensuring metrics are accurate, consistent, and clearly defined for every audience.
Value Measurement & Insights
- Establish product analytics and reporting that measure adoption, usage, and business outcomes, and report value back to stakeholders.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to track progress and derive actionable insights for continuous improvement and to inform future strategy and decision-making.
- Use a data-informed approach to decision-making, iterating based on what is and isn’t working, and translating data into a compelling business case and customer story.
- Critically evaluate information to identify flawed or misleading data, maintain objectivity when interpreting results, and use logic and evidence to support recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for enhancement and submit idea canvases and business cases to expand measurement and reporting capabilities.
Leadership & Team Development
- Articulate a clear vision and roadmap, influencing others both directly and indirectly, and leading through partnership and influence without authority.
- Solve problems and make timely decisions, using independent judgment to analyze variable factors, navigate trade-offs, and determine the best course of action.
- Lead and manage change, recognizing the need for change, championing it, and helping others adapt to new measurement standards and definitions.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior product managers, helping build a product-oriented, collaborative, and innovative culture.
Critical Success Factors
- Business-value focus: Always connects measurement work back to the decisions and outcomes it enables—not metrics for their own sake.
- Analytically rigorous: Ensures metrics are accurate, consistent, and clearly defined; can prove the product is working.
- Execution-oriented: Gets things done and doesn’t get stuck in planning; balances “perfect” against “good enough to launch and learn.”
- Resilient and adaptable: Handles ambiguity, changing priorities, and setbacks, and leads others through uncertainty.
- Strong communicator: Communicates proactively so stakeholders are never surprised; leverages the broader team rather than working as a lone wolf.

- Measurement & Critical Evaluation: Working knowledge of KPIs/OKRs, statistics, and measurement concepts; able to define metric frameworks, interpret analyses objectively, and translate data into decisions.
