Drive high-impact UI/UX design and team leadership for diverse digital products across various growth stages.

We are looking for an experienced Lead UI/UX Designer / Specialist to serve as a design leader and strategic partner for startups and enterprise clients alike. In this role, you will lead end-to-end design initiatives for both B2B and B2C digital applications—shaping product strategies from early-stage concept phases to full-scale product growth.

As a lead designer, you will combine hands-on interaction design with team management and strategic client consultation. You will translate complex client challenges into intuitive user experiences, guide development teams, and establish design standards across multidisciplinary projects.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end UI/UX design processes, including requirement definition, information architecture, wireframing, and high-fidelity visual design.
• Partner directly with client stakeholders (startups to large enterprises) to align business requirements with human-centered product strategies.
• Lead and mentor design project teams, managing project timelines, design deliverables, and quality standards.
• Direct front-end implementation in collaboration with agile or waterfall software development teams.
• Formulate design policies for 0-to-1 product concepts and continuously optimize existing digital services.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in UI design for web applications and digital products using prototyping tools like Figma.
• Demonstrated track record of leading design teams and overseeing the end-to-end UX/UI project lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience in client-facing consultancy or agency environments (client work).
• Practical experience collaborating within agile/scrum or waterfall development frameworks.
• Ability to submit a comprehensive design portfolio showcasing end-to-end UI/UX work and system architecture thinking.
• Business/Fluent-level proficiency in Japanese.

Nice-to-Have

• Graphic design experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Direct experience with 0-to-1 product development, bringing initial concepts from ideation through launch.
• Experience in people management, career development, and design team building.
• Experience participating in business development, scope definition, cost estimation, and proposal pitching.
• Strong interest or hands-on experience in integrating Generative AI tools into design workflows.
