We’re looking for an experienced Leadership Development Lead to shape practical, engaging development experiences that help leaders grow their capability and lead effectively.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Growth & Capability, you’ll work across the organisation to deliver leadership onboarding, coaching, mentoring and development initiatives. You’ll combine strong program design and facilitation skills with sound judgement, data-informed insight and an understanding of what helps leadership development translate into everyday behaviour.
This is an opportunity to influence how leaders join, learn and grow at Aware Super. You’ll work across the organisation, shape initiatives with enterprise-wide reach and help create leadership experiences that support our people, our members and our future capability.
In this role, you’ll:
- contribute to the development and delivery of Aware Super’s leadership strategy;
- own the design and delivery of leadership onboarding programs;
- create practical tools that help leaders understand their strengths, leadership styles and development priorities;
- design and facilitate leadership programs, workshops and individual or group coaching;
- strengthen consistent, practical people-leadership foundations across the organisation;
- establish mentoring experiences that support career development, knowledge sharing and capability building;
- identify leadership capability needs through stakeholder engagement, feedback and relevant workforce insights;
- connect leadership development with talent, succession and workforce priorities;
- define meaningful measures of success and use evidence to improve leadership initiatives;
- monitor emerging leadership practice and translate relevant insights into practical solutions;
- partner with senior stakeholders, internal communication specialists and external providers; and
- contribute to a strong culture of risk awareness, accountability and continuous improvement.
How do you exceed our expectations?
You’ll bring:
- strong experience in leadership development, organisational development, capability or a related field;
- demonstrated success designing and delivering leadership programs for different leadership levels;
- practical coaching and facilitation capability, with the confidence to support both individuals and groups;
- an ability to assess development needs and turn insights into targeted, engaging solutions;
- experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing across organisational boundaries;
- the ability to use qualitative and quantitative information to evaluate impact and recommend improvements;
- a collaborative and inclusive approach that values different perspectives and experiences; and
- sound judgement, accountability and an understanding of risk in a complex organisational environment.
Experience connecting leadership development with talent or succession practices, or managing specialist providers, would be valuable. We’re also interested in transferable experience, so please consider applying if your background equips you to deliver the outcomes of the role, even if you haven’t worked in every area listed.
