Location: Virtual
Salary: $75,000- $85,000 based on experience

Lakeside Book Company is looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to help build and expand our talent development programs. This is a hands-on opportunity to help shape how we develop leaders, strengthen performance, and create meaningful development opportunities across the organization.

You’ll partner with HR, business leaders, and subject matter experts to design practical learning solutions and help move talent development initiatives from idea to implementation.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning programs based on business and employee development needs
  • Help build and launch Lakeside’s front-line leadership development program, including curriculum, tools, facilitator resources, and follow-up learning
  • Own the functional administration of the Dayforce Performance module, including review cycles, workflows, reporting, troubleshooting, testing, and training
  • Manage learning content within Absorb, including courses, assignments, learning paths, reporting, and content maintenance
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to identify skill gaps and create practical learning and performance solutions
  • Support career development, career pathing, succession planning, engagement survey activities, and other talent development initiatives
  • Facilitate training and create practical tools, job aids, and resources that help employees and leaders apply learning on the job

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related area
  • Experience designing and developing training programs and learning materials
  • Strong facilitation, communication, project management, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System and HR technology; Absorb or Dayforce experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Education, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, multi-site, or frontline workforce is a plus
