Build Capabilities. Develop Leaders. Shape the Future of Learning at Fieldpiece.

At Fieldpiece, we're passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and developing the people who drive our success. We’re a privately held global leader in innovative HVACR tools and test instruments trusted by technicians around the world. We're known for developing innovative products that technicians rely on every day - and for investing in our people, our technology, and our future. Named one of the Best Places to Work in Southern California for four consecutive years, we're looking for talented people who want to make an impact.

We're looking for an experienced Learning & Organizational Development Manager who can think strategically, roll up their sleeves, and make a meaningful impact across the organization.

This is an opportunity to own and shape our learning and development function, working closely with senior leadership to strengthen employee capabilities, develop future leaders, and build programs that support our business objectives.

You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and bring them to life. From developing a leadership development strategy to designing content and facilitating workshops, you'll lead every stage of the process. If you're energized by building programs, influencing leaders, and seeing the direct impact of your work, we'd love to meet you.

This position is in our Orange, CA office with an exciting move to Tustin, CA in 2028. This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with employees typically working onsite three days per week. Additional in-office days may be required from time to time for onboarding, training, team meetings, project collaboration, or other business needs. Travel is expected up to 15%.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a learning and development strategy aligned with business priorities and organizational growth.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify capability gaps, development needs, and opportunities to improve performance.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs for employees, managers, and senior leaders.
  • Build leadership and management development programs that strengthen capabilities and support succession planning.
  • Lead organizational development initiatives focused on employee engagement, change management, and team effectiveness.
  • Facilitate DISC assessments, leadership workshops, coaching initiatives, and team development activities.
  • Develop competency frameworks, career development resources, and individual development programs.
  • Create instructor-led, virtual, and digital learning content using modern instructional design tools and technologies.
  • Manage learning systems, external partners, and program resources while measuring effectiveness and business impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of corporate learning and development experience, including strategy and hands-on execution designing, developing, and delivering engaging training and leadership development programs.
  • Experience managing the full learning lifecycle, from needs assessment through evaluation and analyzing results.
  • Hands-on experience administering and facilitating DISC or similar behavioral assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies.
  • Experience with LMS/HCM platforms and e-learning tools such as Articulate or Adobe Captivate.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and independently drive initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Strategic thinker who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys building programs that deliver results.

Why Fieldpiece?

  • At Fieldpiece, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible difference in how we develop our people and prepare our organization for the future. You’ll influence the strategy while maintaining direct ownership of the work.
  • We're looking for someone who takes initiative, enjoys building relationships, and finds satisfaction in creating something meaningful—not someone who needs a large team or a highly structured environment to make an impact.
  • As a privately held company, we invest for the long term—in our people, our products, and our future. That means we can focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and building lasting careers rather than chasing short-term results.
