The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Design Consultant to join the Modernisation Capability project team for 12 months. You’ll design engaging learning solutions that build the non-technical skills and capability shifts needed to support Modernisation.
About QBE
At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.
We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.
What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.
Your new role:
Working closely with the Learning Program Manager, business subject matter experts and project teams, you’ll translate capability needs into practical learning experiences and deliver them in line with transformation milestones. You’ll own learning solutions from concept and prototype through development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Design practical learning journeys aligned to Modernisation capability priorities and business needs.
- Create engaging digital and blended learning content using contemporary learning approaches and tools.
- Partner with business experts and project teams to translate complex requirements into simple, targeted learning solutions.
- Develop fit-for-purpose solutions using digital, leader-led, peer and workplace learning approaches.
- Deliver learning activities in line with transformation milestones, timelines and quality standards.
- Use learner feedback, data and agreed measures to continuously improve learning effectiveness.
About You
You’ll bring strong workplace learning design and development experience, with the ability to turn complex business and capability needs into clear, practical experiences. You’ll be comfortable working collaboratively across multiple teams, managing changing requirements and delivering quality outcomes within project timelines.
You'll also have:
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing engaging workplace learning solutions and content.
- Hands-on experience with digital learning and content development tools.
- Experience delivering learning within a project, transformation or other deadline-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of contemporary learning design principles, including approaches beyond traditional e-learning.
- Experience working with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to simplify complex information.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and work effectively across stakeholders in a large or complex organisation.
Benefits
We offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances. As a QBE employee you will have access to and benefit from:
- Hybrid working – a mix of working from home and in the office to support work/life balance
- Free holistic wellbeing coaching, nutritional support, confidential counselling, financial and legal advice
- 18 weeks' gender-equal flexible leave for all new parents, including paid superannuation
