We're looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our EMEA Legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a global organization, partnering directly with business leaders across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You'll advise on a broad range of legal matters while helping drive strategic business outcomes in a fast-moving and evolving industry.

Whether you've built your career in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your expertise, work closely with senior stakeholders, and develop within a highly collaborative global legal team.

What You'll Be Doing

As the lead legal advisor supporting Vontier's Convenience Retail businesses across EMEA, you'll provide practical, commercially focused guidance across a diverse range of legal areas including:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Advising leadership teams on legal, regulatory and business risk matters.
• Partnering with sales, procurement, finance, marketing, HR and operational teams to support business objectives.
• Supporting data privacy and governance initiatives, including GDPR and UK GDPR compliance activities.
• Advising on employment law matters in partnership with HR and specialist legal colleagues.
• Navigating regulatory requirements across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
• Supporting compliance, ethics and risk management programmes.
• Managing disputes, claims and litigation matters in collaboration with external counsel.
• Delivering training and guidance to business stakeholders on key legal and compliance topics.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic legal projects across the wider Vontier organisation.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in the UK and/or an EU jurisdiction.
• Approximately 7+ years of legal experience gained within a law firm, in-house legal team, or a combination of both.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
• Experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters effectively.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating across international teams.
• Curiosity, adaptability and a growth mindset.
• A genuine interest in understanding how businesses operate and create value.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

• Experience within a multinational business or internationally recognised law firm.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• Experience supporting complex commercial transactions and strategic partnerships.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Interest in legal technology and process improvement.
• Experience operating in highly regulated industries.
• Exposure to the transportation, mobility, fueling, convenience retail or EV charging sectors.
• Ability to occasionally support meetings outside standard EMEA business hours.
