Your day-to-day
As Kira’s Legal Knowledge Engineering Manager - Real Estate you will report directly to the Director of Legal Knowledge Engineering and be responsible for staying up to date with market trends in the practice area, understanding our customers’ needs, and supervising the training of the software to identify relevant information in real estate documents. You will work with an experienced team of lawyers from some of the most prestigious firms in the world, and become an expert in using Kira Systems’ machine learning software.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new “smart fields” (machine learning algorithms that can find information) in real estate documents.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of what information real estate lawyers, and other professionals in the industry, need to find in their documents, and what types of documents they would like to review.
- Hire and manage a growing team of real estate professionals.
- Carefully review the work of lawyers you are supervising to ensure that Kira is trained flawlessly, therefore maximizing the system’s accuracy.
- Work with customers to ensure they get the most out of Kira’s out-of-the-box capabilities, while obtaining feedback to incorporate into the software.
- Work with and support other teams at Kira Systems, such as design, machine learning, sales and customer success.
Requirements
- You have three or more years of law practice experience in the real estate field, either gained at a law firm or in house, in which you reviewed leases and other real estate documents.
- You have the ability to learn new technologies quickly and are not intimidated by trying something new.
- You have exceptional attention to detail and are highly organized.
- You are a relentless and creative problem solver, and your analytical skills are exceptional.
- You have strong time management skills and can successfully juggle multiple priorities.
- You are highly responsible, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- You are a master collaborator while also welcoming critique and feedback.
- You empathize with people. Your first instinct when asked for something is to try to find a way to say yes.
Benefits
- Kira Systems offers a competitive benefits package. Details vary by location but typically include health insurance and more.
- Macbook Pro for work use.
- Flexible working hours and ability to work remotely.
