Linux Administrator (RHEL/ RedHat Linux)

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week in-office)

Experience Required: 6–8 years

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux / RHEL Engineer with strong end-to-end service transition and architecture background to join our technical infrastructure team in Bucharest. In this role, you will take full ownership of technical onboarding, customer architecture validation, high-availability cluster design, and smooth Go-Live delivery across complex RHEL environments.

• Architecture & Landscape Mastery: Acquire in-depth knowledge of customer architecture, validate Scope of Work (SOW), complete due diligence, and address technical/operational gaps.
• Transition & Documentation: Develop Service Management Transition Documentation (SMTD), establish Risk Registers, propose mitigation strategies, and secure formal customer and stakeholder sign-offs.
• Knowledge Transfer: Lead reverse knowledge transfer to Business As Usual (BAU) operational teams and obtain formal project closure sign-offs.
• Hardening & Onboarding: Implement hardening standards, service assurance frameworks, remote management setups, and monitoring tool onboarding across customer infrastructure.
• Service Ownership: Lead end-to-end service transitions across People, Process, and Technology with a focus on seamless Go-Live execution.

• Core Systems: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux (RHEL) administration, architecture, and infrastructure design for Data Center environments.
• Lifecycle & Administration: Deep expertise in product engineering, hardware/software lifecycle management, LVM, user management, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Patch Management & Automation: Extensive experience in automated patch management and Satellite Server installation, configuration, and administration.
• Clustering Solutions: Proficiency in high-availability and clustering setups such as Red Hat Cluster, PCS Cluster, Veritas Cluster, PowerHA, HPC, or GPFS.
• Deployment & Virtualization: Strong experience with NIM Server, LPAR installation/maintenance, and mksysb backup and restoration setups.
• OEM & Vendor Management: Proven ability to interface with OEMs for firmware updates, patch cycles, and lifecycle governance.
• Storage & Backup Integration: Good understanding of enterprise backup engines (e.g., Cohesity, NetWorker) and enterprise storage topologies.
• ITIL & Methodology: Solid operational experience applying ITIL frameworks within project delivery environments.

• Process Mastery: Expert knowledge of ITIL processes (certified preferred) alongside ticketing, capacity planning, and monitoring tool suites.
• Stakeholder Management: Hands-on experience collaborating with global customers, vendor management, and onshore delivery teams.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; highly dynamic under tight project timelines.

• Base Salary: Competitive base monthly gross salary (CIM contract setup).
• Quarterly Bonus (QPLC): 5% of monthly base salary, paid quarterly based on performance.
