Show job description
We are looking for an M&A professional to support Radiant’s inorganic growth strategy as the Group enters an exciting new phase, targeting eight acquisitions per year.

As a core member of the M&A team, working closely with the Board, you will share responsibility for the end-to-end valuation and execution of acquisitions of UK independent financial advisers (IFAs).

Reporting directly to the Head of M&A, you will own key parts of every deal - from valuation, through due diligence, to integration — and work closely with our executive team, operational leaders and investors. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety, ideally suited to someone who wants genuine deal responsibility and the opportunity to help build the Group’s M&A function.
Experience and qualifications
  • Experience working on M&A transactions, either in-house or in an advisory capacity (M&A lead advisory, AMA, investment banking or financial due diligence). This may be your first role in industry, and candidates with an audit background will also be considered.
  • A professional qualification: qualified accountant or CFA.
  • A driven, ambitious personality with a hands-on, proactive approach.
  • Comfortable embracing complexity and change.
  • Willingness to travel to offices across the Group and around the UK to meet acquisition targets and attend firm-wide events.
Personal skills
  • Organisation and planning - plans, organises, schedules and budgets efficiently and productively, focusing on key priorities.
  • Analytical skills - structures and processes qualitative and quantitative data to draw insightful conclusions; brings a probing mind.
  • Attention to detail - does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
  • Computer literacy - confident user of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and AI tools.
  • Adaptability - shows sound judgement and appropriate behaviours with shareholders, backers, targets, suppliers and internal teams; adjusts quickly to changing priorities and copes effectively with complexity and change.
  • Communication - speaks and writes clearly, articulately and persuasively without being overly verbose, with an open and honest approach.
  • Persistence - demonstrates tenacity and a willingness to go the distance to get things done.
  • Proactivity - acts without needing to be told and brings new ideas to the business.
  • Enthusiasm - brings passion, energy and a can-do attitude to their work.
  • Openness to feedback - actively seeks feedback and responds calmly and constructively to challenge.
  • Teamwork - builds collaborative working relationships with peers and senior colleagues.
1. Offers
  • Screening potential acquisition targets.
  • Performing valuation analysis.
  • Preparing bid documents and Heads of Terms.
  • Participating in vendor meetings as the role develops.
2. Execution
  • Supporting the Head of M&A in executing acquisitions from Heads of Terms through to completion.
  • Managing internal and adviser-led due diligence workstreams (financial, commercial, regulatory and legal).
  • Carrying out financial due diligence on smaller transactions (experience in FDD, audit or management accounts, together with an accounting qualification or equivalent, is preferable).
  • Coordinating external due diligence workstreams and communicating findings to the wider business to inform integration planning and the drafting of transaction documents.
  • Working confidentially across departments and with the leadership team to ensure smooth deal execution — in particular, collaborating with the Finance team on business analysis, deal funding and post-deal reporting.
  • Assisting with the preparation and negotiation of legal agreements alongside our lawyers.
  • Preparing FCA change in control business plans.
3. Reporting
  • Preparing, and supporting the delivery of, M&A pipeline reports and Investment Committee papers.
  • Maintaining a project tracker for each deal to monitor due diligence findings, integration remediation and any relevant protections within the transaction documents.
  • Reporting on post-acquisition performance to assess whether growth and synergy assumptions have been delivered.
Additional opportunities as the role develops
  • Involvement in the post-acquisition integration process.

  • Work-life balance: Early finish every Friday at 2:15pm, plus flexible hybrid working, with only one day in the office required.
  • Generous holiday package: 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and your birthday off.
  • Financial security: 4x salary death-in-service cover, up to 5 years' income protection, and 5% employer-matched pension contributions.
  • Health & wellbeing: MediCash benefits including 24/7 GP access, mental health support, and retail discounts.
  • Professional growth: Ongoing training and career development through the Radiant Academy.
  • Friendly team culture: Join a collaborative, approachable team of professionals who value both excellence and support.
