As Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of best-in-class retail experiences through supporting the management of company finances to deliver excellent levels of service, provide seamless customer experiences and ensure the achievement of commercial success whilst making a positive impact on the enviroment. What you’ll do: Oversee the month‑end process by managing ledger cut‑off dates, controlling late postings, and ensuring timely and accurate ledger closure. Prepare and deliver complete, accurate management accounts, including all associated reconciliations. Own all balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of variances. Produce and review P&L accounts, preparing draft management accounts for Financial Controller approval. Monitor all postings to the company’s Bibby Finance account, ensuring full reconciliation at month end. Prepare and submit management account drafts to agreed deadlines, ensuring high standards of accuracy and clarity. What you’ll need: Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience. Experience preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting and balance sheet reconciliations. Strong month-end close experience with a focus on accuracy, controls, and meeting deadlines. Proven ability to investigate and resolve financial variances and reconciliation issues. Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero or other accounting software in an SME environment.
