Who We Want:

Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Operations, the Manager, Commercial Analytics & Operations is responsible for developing, maintaining, and advancing the analytics, reporting, systems, and operational capabilities that support Q’Apel’s commercial organization. This is an individual contributor role with significant cross-functional responsibility and influence. The role will own recurring commercial reporting and dashboards, performance analytics, data quality and metric consistency, business-review analytics, and decision support, working closely with the Senior Director, Commercial Operations and sales leadership to translate data into actionable insights and improve commercial execution.

This individual will work closely with Q’Apel’s Salesforce Administrator and other internal partners to keep commercial data, reporting structures, users, territories, and dashboards aligned with evolving business needs. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and technical capabilities with commercial business acumen, attention to detail, curiosity, and a process-improvement mindset; proactively identifying needed changes, translating business needs into clear requirements, and ensuring reporting, systems, and operational processes remain accurate, practical, and scalable.

What You’ll Work On:

Commercial Reporting, Dashboards & Data Integrity

  • Own the development, maintenance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of recurring commercial reports, dashboards, and scorecards across key performance measures, including revenue, quota attainment, sales pacing and projections, product performance, regional and territory performance, account activity, utilization, and other defined KPIs; develop and enhance Tableau dashboards and other reporting tools to provide timely, actionable visibility into performance.
  • Ensure reporting and data accuracy by reconciling sources, maintaining consistent metric definitions, calculation methodologies, reporting logic, business rules, and documentation, monitoring data completeness and timeliness, resolving discrepancies, and validating reporting changes. Drive reporting efficiency and scalability by reducing manual work and evolving capabilities based on business needs, priorities, and stakeholder feedback.

Commercial Performance Analytics & Business Reviews

  • Analyze performance across products, regions, territories, field representatives, and accounts to identify trends, gaps, risks, and growth opportunities. Assess performance against plan; evaluate account activity, adoption, utilization, penetration, and leading indicators; and support segmentation, targeting, and prioritization using internal data and relevant external market or procedural data.
  • Own analytical preparation for Quarterly Business Reviews, regional reviews, leadership meetings, and other recurring business reviews, including performance summaries, key trends and variances, opportunities and risks, and leadership-ready charts, tables, and presentations. Establish repeatable review processes and partner with sales leadership to evolve analytics as commercial priorities change.

Commercial Planning & Decision Support

  • Support annual and quarterly planning and other key commercial decisions, including quota development, modeling, allocation and roll-up validation; territory design and expansion; zip-code and account alignment; field coverage and hiring-priority analysis; account and market opportunity assessment; targeting and resource allocation; and analytical support for product launches, adoption initiatives, and commercial programs.
  • Address emerging business questions with timely, accurate analysis and develop models and scenarios that help leadership evaluate alternatives, understand potential business impact, and translate findings into clear recommendations and action.

Salesforce & Commercial Systems

  • Work closely with the Salesforce Administrator to ensure Salesforce accurately reflects current users, reporting relationships, territories, organizational structures, and commercial requirements. Proactively identify updates related to new hires, departures, access, profiles, hierarchies, territories, dashboards, data, or workflows; translate business needs into clear requirements; coordinate implementation; and validate that changes are accurately reflected across systems, reports, and dashboards.

Commercial Operations & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate commercial processes; build scalable tools and documentation; maintain accurate territory and field structures; and support other Commercial Operations initiatives as needs evolve. Partner with sales leadership, Finance, Marketing, the Salesforce Administrator, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure systems, reporting, and processes are aligned with business needs and practical for the field.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in commercial analytics, sales operations, commercial operations, business intelligence, revenue operations, or a similar role; experience supporting a field-based commercial organization is required, and medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining recurring commercial reports, dashboards, KPIs, and performance analytics, with the ability to analyze complex datasets, investigate discrepancies, identify meaningful trends, and translate findings into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation, and analytical modeling, and strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to create clear, leadership-ready presentations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Tableau, including building, maintaining, and improving dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce, including reports, dashboards, data structures, users, roles, and hierarchies, plus experience partnering with a Salesforce Administrator or technical resource to translate business needs into system and reporting requirements; Salesforce administration experience or certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting commercial planning activities such as quota development, territory analysis, account targeting, field-force expansion, hiring analysis, or resource allocation is strongly preferred; experience with external market, claims, procedure-volume, or other healthcare data sources is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, metric governance, reporting consistency, and process improvement, with experience improving commercial processes, reporting workflows, or systems in a growing organization.
  • Strong business acumen, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive, curious problem-solving approach, with the organizational and project-management skills to manage recurring deliverables, operational responsibilities, and ad hoc priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight while collaborating effectively across functions and levels of the organization; strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills; sound judgment in handling confidential information; and willingness to travel occasionally for company and commercial meetings.
