Manager, Retail Business Consulting

Job Description This is a remote position. At S5, we are on a mission to make Advanced Data Science consumable to Business Users. The Role: The Manager of Retail Business Consulting is a product expert who empowers top brands to reach their business objectives. In this role, you will own the success of industry leading brands on the S5 platform. You will develop collaborative relationships to drive strong user adoption of S5 solutions, demonstrating value every step of the way. You will deeply understand your customer’s business and use cases and act as an extension of their team. With enthusiasm and clarity, you will make data-driven recommendations to support their implementation and drive success. Our clients include some of the most iconic brands in the world and they expect the highest level of professionalism and expertise. What You’ll Do: ​ Thought leader in Retail / Supply Chain including Merchandising/Buying, Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Retail Analysis & Reporting, Retail Systems Analysis or other related experience As a primary contact point for customers, establish a strong and trusted relationship with customers and meet with them in order to define and articulate business requirements as well as a delivery plan for complex solutions that leverage S5 Solutions, existing ecommerce, POS, Order Management, Fulfillment, and ERP solutions, etc. Manage successful transition between sales process and project implementation as well as handover into customer operations after launch Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, develop a detailed project plan to track progress, manage changes in project scope, costs and schedule, measure and report project performance, perform risk assessment and manage / minimize project risks Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget Own the success of your customers during implementation through post-go-live Perform data analysis to assist customers with implementation and validation Collaborate with product and engineering teams to synthesize customer feedback and drive product development that maps back to the needs of S5’s retailers Contribute to the scalability of the customer success team through documentation and process optimization Requirements What We're Looking For: You have a deep understanding of Retail Industry processes and pain points across Merchandising / Buying, Planning, Forecasting, Inventory Replenishment & Allocation You have 5-10 years experience working for Retailers in Merchandise Financial Planning and Allocation (MP&A), Buying, and/or System Administration You have participated in large scale end-to-end implementations of enterprise software preferably related to Retail Merchandising (ie Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning, Forecasting, Replenishment, Allocation, Retail Reporting & Analysis, or similar) Experience working for a SaaS company and have worked with demanding enterprise-size accounts is a huge plus You have strong data analysis skills and experience working with SQL databases Entrepreneurial spirit and strong problem-solving skills You excel in a fast-paced environment and have strong project management and communication skills You have superb client-facing skills and radiate enthusiasm, high energy, poise, and confidence You can articulate the value proposition of a technology platform to meet client needs You're comfortable collaborating with both technical and business teams Ability to interpret business needs and making them accessible to different target groups You have a BA/BS Benefits What’s in it for You?
