Building off our Obsession With Humanity™ positioning, we offer:

• Big Idea ObSessions

• Branding ObSessions

• Experiential marketing and activations

• Website and app development

Our approach combines strategic rigor, creativity, consumer understanding, and behavioral insight to help clients solve meaningful business problems and drive growth. We are a fully remote company with available office space in Los Angeles when needed. Please visit www.bovitzinc.com to learn more about our team, the type of work we do, our culture, and our clients.

The Role

We are seeking a Managing Director to partner directly with Boombox’s President and division leadership to help scale the business into a nationally respected, category-defining boutique agency.

This is a senior executive leadership role focused on growth, client leadership, and helping shape the future of the division.

We do not believe in traditional sales organizations or disconnected business development teams.

We believe in a seller-doer model — where senior leaders build trusted relationships, win business through expertise and credibility, and remain strategically involved in the work to ensure exceptional outcomes and enduring client partnerships.

Today, Boombox has a concentrated customer base anchored by one very large client, one large client, and a handful of smaller relationships. A key priority for this role will be helping diversify and expand the client base while increasing the scale and strategic depth of existing partnerships.

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, highly strategic, commercially driven, creatively inspired, and relentlessly curious about people and consumer behavior.

Things You’ll Do

Business Growth & Client Development

  • Drive new client acquisition through personal relationships, industry reputation, and proactive business development
  • Develop senior-level relationships with marketing and business leaders
  • Identify and pursue high-value opportunities aligned with Boombox’s positioning and capabilities
  • Represent Boombox in pitches, strategic conversations, industry events, and executive-level client engagements
  • Help position Boombox as a strategic growth partner, uniquely leveraging best-in-class consumer insights, rather than the traditional agency vendor
  • Contribute to the continued evolution and visibility of the Boombox brand in the marketplace

Client Leadership & Growth

  • Deepen and expand relationships with existing clients across business units and stakeholder groups
  • Identify opportunities to broaden engagements across experiential, social/influencer, branding, digital, and strategic offerings
  • Serve as a senior executive presence and trusted advisor on key accounts
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively bring new thinking, ideas, and opportunities
  • Help reduce concentration risk by broadening and strengthening the client portfolio

Strategic & Creative Leadership

  • Remain actively involved in engagements at a senior strategic level
  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure exceptional work quality and client impact
  • Collaborate with strategy, creative, insights, and delivery teams to shape breakthrough programs and ideas
  • Bring strong perspective across brand strategy, creative development, customer experience, and integrated marketing
  • Champion the use of market research, behavioral science, analytics, and customer understanding in the development of more effective marketing programs

Leadership & Firm Building

  • Serve as a core member of the Boombox leadership team
  • Help shape growth strategy, capability development, and long-term vision for the division
  • Contribute to talent development, mentoring, and culture building
  • Reinforce and embody our People + Performance culture and our Obsession With Humanity™
  • Help build the operational and organizational maturity required to scale the business successfully

Qualifications

Experience Requirements

  • Significant experience in marketing services and agency leadership environments
  • Demonstrated track record of meaningful business development success and client growth
  • Existing network of senior marketing and business relationships with the ability to open doors and create opportunities
  • Experience growing and managing complex client relationships over time
  • Combination of large agency and entrepreneurial or boutique agency experience strongly preferred
  • Background in leading experiential marketing initiatives and brand activations, from strategy through execution
  • Expertise in developing and leading integrated marketing strategies

Physical Requirements

This position is primarily performed in a remote office environment. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment; and communicate effectively via phone, video conferencing, and written communication. The employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, and lift or move items up to 15 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
