Role Description:

Globes Consultants is seeking a Managing Director, Digital Asset Investments for a full-time remote position based in Spain. This is a senior executive role responsible for developing and leading digital asset investment strategy, overseeing portfolio performance, identifying high-value investment opportunities, and establishing strategic relationships across the cryptocurrency and Web3 ecosystem. The Managing Director will combine institutional investment principles, quantitative analysis, capital allocation, and executive leadership to drive the development of digital asset investment initiatives and long-term portfolio growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of digital asset investment strategies, portfolio objectives, and long-term investment plans.
• Oversee capital allocation, portfolio construction, diversification, and investment performance across cryptocurrency markets.
• Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi, stablecoins, blockchain infrastructure, and emerging Web3 ventures.
• Establish investment frameworks, due diligence standards, and portfolio management processes.
• Direct fundamental, quantitative, and on-chain research to identify high-potential digital asset opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance, liquidity, volatility, drawdowns, exposure, and risk-adjusted returns.
• Develop institutional investment strategies covering hedging, treasury management, capital preservation, and portfolio optimization.
• Build strategic relationships with institutional investors, family offices, venture capital firms, blockchain companies, and financial institutions.
• Oversee investment research, financial modelling, market intelligence, and portfolio reporting.
• Establish risk management policies and ensure investment activities align with applicable regulatory and governance requirements.
• Evaluate strategic partnerships, fundraising opportunities, and potential acquisitions across the digital asset ecosystem.
• Lead investment professionals, analysts, and external specialists while establishing performance objectives and operational standards.
• Present investment strategies, portfolio performance, and market opportunities to senior stakeholders and potential investors.
• Monitor global cryptocurrency markets, macroeconomic developments, institutional adoption, and regulatory changes.
• Drive the expansion of digital asset investment capabilities and identify new strategic growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• At least 8–10 years of experience in investment management, asset management, investment banking, hedge funds, or financial markets.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing investment strategies, portfolios, or financial teams.
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, DeFi, tokenomics, and digital asset infrastructure.
• Proven experience in portfolio construction, capital allocation, investment research, and risk management.
• Experience evaluating institutional investment opportunities and managing complex investment portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of quantitative investment strategies, market analysis, and financial modelling.
• Understanding of institutional fund structures, liquidity management, hedging, and portfolio governance.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics platforms and digital asset research tools.
• Excellent leadership, commercial judgement, negotiation, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Ability to build relationships with institutional investors, financial institutions, and international business partners.
• Professional English proficiency; Spanish-language skills are an advantage.

Compensation:

This position offers an estimated base salary range of €125,000–€165,000 EUR gross per year, depending on executive experience, investment performance, portfolio responsibilities, and institutional investment expertise.
