What You’ll Be Doing

Data Strategy, Interpretation, and Business Application

  • You will serve as a senior leader for applied donor data strategy, ensuring alignment between data use and fundraising priorities.
  • You will establish strong partnerships across the Foundation by actively engaging stakeholders to understand business needs, gather feedback, and translate fundraising and operational challenges into data, analytics, reporting, and decision-support solutions.
  • You will oversee the development, validation, and application of predictive models and advanced analytics that support prospect identification, constituent engagement, fundraising performance, and resource allocation decisions.
  • You will establish and enforce standards for reporting logic, SQL development, documentation, version control, testing, and deployment practices.

  • You will design scalable reporting solutions that reduce reliance on ad hoc and inconsistent analyses.
  • You will partner with senior leadership to ensure analytics meaningfully inform decision-making and prioritization.
  • You will write, troubleshoot and mentor on complex queries, reports and stored procedures.

Team Leadership and Program Integration

  • You will build, lead, and develop a high-performing Data Solutions & Insights team focused on consistency, quality, and strategic impact.
  • You will develop staff as both technical experts and translators of data into strategy.
  • You will champion organization-wide use of the CRM and associated platforms as the system of record, partnering with stakeholders to improve adoption, data-informed practices, and confidence in data assets.
  • You will promote strong alignment and collaboration with Information Technology, Gift & Data Administration, and Prospect Development.

Data Usage Standards, Alignment, and Quality Enablement

  • You will ensure consistent application and interpretation of enterprise data definitions and business rules in reporting and analytics.
  • You will partner with Gift & Data Administration to reinforce adoption of data standards and governance practices.
  • You will develop processes and tools that enable stakeholders to use data correctly and consistently.

Who You Are

  • You're able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Your exceptional communication skills give you the ability to act as a bridge between technical teams, data governance functions, and business users.
  • You're able to influence without direct authority and build effective cross-functional partnerships.
  • You're committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.

You should have

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or advancement services
  • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring technical, analytics, or data science teams
  • Advanced hands-on experience with SQL, SSRS, Tableau or comparable data visualization platforms
  • Significant experience working with donor/CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Affinaquest, Raiser’s Edge)
  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit fundraising environments preferred
  • We want to emphasize that there is no such thing as the perfect candidate; candidates who do not have all of the required experience are encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions
