About The Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Consultant to join RAC’s Group Marketing team, helping to plan, deliver and optimise acquisition campaigns across our breakdown products.

It’s a varied, hands-on marketing role where you’ll get exposure to a broad mix of channels including web, email, direct mail, SMS, app, paid media, SEO and partner activity. You’ll take campaigns from initial brief through to delivery, bringing together different teams and external partners to make sure activity stays on track and delivers a great customer experience.

Data and insight will play an important part too. You’ll look at campaign performance to understand what’s working, spot opportunities for growth and help optimise everything from landing pages and customer journeys to future campaign activity.

With 1+ years’ marketing experience, you’ll already have a good grounding in campaign delivery, but you don’t need to be an expert in every channel. We’re looking for someone organised, proactive and commercially curious, who enjoys taking ownership and using insight to make marketing activity even better.

This is a hybrid role, working two days a week from our Bradley Stoke offices and three days working from home.

We offer more than a job. We offer a career with purpose.

As a Marketing Consultant at RAC, you’ll get benefits that go the extra mile

Earnings That Motivate – enjoy a competitive salary plus automatic enrolment in our ‘Owning It Together’ Colleague Share Scheme - a unique opportunity to share in RAC’s future success and be rewarded for the exceptional work you deliver.

Tools to Drive Your Future – get started with a free RAC Ultimate Complete Breakdown Service from day one, plus access to a car salary sacrifice scheme (including electric vehicle options) after 12 months, delivering serious tax savings.

Time Off That Matters – enjoy 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. We also support work-life balance with paid family leave, flexible schedules, and practical resources to help navigate personal commitments

Financial Security & Perks – pension scheme with up to 6.5% matched contributions on qualifying earnings alongside life assurance cover up to 4x salary (10x optional with flex benefits), designed to support you long-term.

Wellbeing That Works for You – our 24/7 confidential support service is available to you and household members aged 16+, offering reassurance whenever you need it.

Extras That Make a Difference - access Orange Savings, our exclusive discount portal with deals across top retailers, holidays, tools, tech and more. After passing probation, you’ll automatically join our Colleague Share Scheme, giving you a stake in our collective success.

What you’ll do

You’ll take a hands-on role in coordinating and delivering marketing campaigns, working across teams to keep activity moving and ensuring everyone has what they need to deliver.

You’ll also:

  • Manage campaigns from initial brief and proposition development through creative production, approvals, delivery and post-campaign review.
  • Coordinate activity across internal teams, agencies, suppliers and external partners, keeping timelines, actions and dependencies on track.
  • Support activity across online and offline channels including web, email, direct mail, SMS, app, SEO and paid media.
  • Review landing pages and customer journeys with an optimisation and growth mindset, identifying opportunities to improve performance.
  • Use campaign data, customer insight and channel performance to identify learnings, recommend tests and continuously improve results.
  • Track campaign performance, costs and return on investment.
  • Develop clear creative briefs and review copy and creative to ensure communications are accurate, engaging and right for the audience.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Digital, Insight, Product, Commercial, Design, Legal, Risk and Compliance.
  • Ensure marketing communications meet relevant regulatory requirements and internal approval processes.

What you’ll need

You don’t need to have done everything on day one. We’re looking for someone with a great foundation in marketing who is organised, curious and keen to develop broader commercial and multi-channel experience.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • At least 1+ years’ solid marketing experience, ideally within a fast-paced consumer environment.
  • Experience delivering campaigns or customer communications from brief through to launch and evaluation.
  • Exposure to a mixture of digital and offline marketing channels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the confidence to coordinate multiple teams, partners and deadlines.
  • An understanding of how data and insight can be used to optimise marketing performance.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset and the confidence to take ownership and keep activity moving.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities.

Experience within a regulated environment or working through compliance-led approval processes would be helpful but isn’t essential.
