Marketing Executive - 12-month FTC (potential to become permanent)
📍 West Midlands | Hybrid - 3 days in the office
💷 £30,000–£32,000
Ready to take ownership of marketing and make a real difference to business growth?
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Marketing Executive to take the reins of an established B2B business's marketing activity as it brings everything in-house.
Rather than simply managing a small part of the marketing mix, you'll have the opportunity to build, develop and run the day-to-day marketing operation, working closely with senior management and the sales team.
It's a varied role combining content, campaigns, digital marketing, paid advertising and lead generation, with plenty of scope to make your mark.
🤝 What will you be doing?
You'll take responsibility for a broad range of marketing activity, including:
- ✍️ Creating and managing content for LinkedIn, newsletters and case studies, using AI tools to support content creation.
- 📅 Planning and delivering an annual marketing and campaign calendar, targeting different industry sectors and customer groups.
- 📧 Managing email marketing campaigns, newsletters and automated nurture sequences.
- 📱 Running and monitoring paid advertising campaigns across LinkedIn and Google, keeping a close eye on budgets, cost per lead and conversions.
- 💻 Managing and developing the company website, including landing pages, SEO improvements and new sector-specific content.
- 📊 Taking ownership of the marketing CRM and database, ensuring leads are captured, managed and passed to the right people.
- 🎯 Working closely with the sales team to generate qualified leads and support new business development.
- 📈 Reporting on marketing performance, measuring the impact of campaigns and identifying opportunities to improve results.
💡 What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck into the detail, is comfortable working independently and understands that good marketing needs to deliver commercial results.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A degree in Marketing (or similar)
- Previous experience in a marketing role, either in-house or agency, ideally within a B2B environment.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to make technical information easy to understand.
- Hands-on experience across social media, email marketing and paid advertising (LinkedIn and/or Google).
- Confidence using AI tools for research and content creation, with the ability to sense-check and refine the output.
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to understand campaign performance, cost per lead and conversion rates.
- Excellent organisation skills and the confidence to manage your own workload and deadlines.
It would also be great if you have:
- Experience with HubSpot or another marketing CRM.
- Knowledge of WordPress, SEO tools and Google Analytics 4.
- Canva or similar design skills, along with some short-form video editing experience.
- Experience within engineering, construction, industrial or equipment hire sectors.
🌟 What's on offer?
- Salary of £30,000–£32,000.
- Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent.
The important bit!
This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to keep social media ticking over. You'll be responsible for delivering a joined-up marketing operation, generating meaningful leads and helping the business measure the return on its marketing investment.
If you're a proactive, commercially minded Marketing Executive who enjoys variety, autonomy and seeing the results of your work, we'd love to hear from you!
