BCTS owns a group of established operating companies across the United States and Canada. Each maintains its own brand and customer relationships, and each has built its own websites, social channels, vendors, templates, and ways of communicating. The Marketing Manager brings consistency to that landscape: shared standards, platforms, and vendors, and a clear BCTS corporate presence that supports each operating company’s brand without replacing it.
This is a hands-on role. You will manage the calendar, projects, vendors, and details across many operating companies at once, and you will build the templates, tools, and repeatable processes that make one way of doing marketing stick. The role is designed to grow into senior marketing leadership, with increasing ownership of strategy, brand governance, operating-company relationships, acquisition marketing, measurement, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
1. Marketing consolidation and standardization
• Inventory how each operating company handles web, social, email, collateral, merchandise, vendors, and communications.
• Bring operating companies onto common standards, platforms, templates, and processes, including consistent structure and governance for websites and social channels, while preserving each company’s brand identity.
• Consolidate vendors and agencies where it improves quality, consistency, or cost.
• Define and document who does what between corporate marketing and the operating companies.
2. Brand, messaging, and creative
• Define and maintain the brand architecture: how BCTS appears alongside operating-company brands (endorsed, co-branded, or standalone).
• Develop and sharpen the BCTS corporate story and messaging framework, and keep it consistent across corporate channels.
• Apply brand standards across corporate materials, and support operating companies in applying their own.
• Coordinate presentations, proposals, capability sheets, brochures, and templates.
• Manage the marketing asset library so approved materials are current and easy to find.
• Coordinate photography, video, design, and copywriting.
3. Internal communications
• Own the BCTS internal newsletter, focused on corporate news, milestones, acquisitions, and company updates.
• Support leadership communications, town halls, and sales meetings.
• Help employees understand BCTS and how their operating company fits within it.
• Prepare internal employee announcements and communications as requested
4. External communications and digital marketing
• Develop and distribute recurring customer-facing communication.
• Manage the corporate website, LinkedIn, and social content, including planning, publishing, and accuracy of contact information.
• Develop customer case studies, proof points, and thought-leadership content.
• Coordinate email marketing and digital campaigns.
• Run website audits across the operating companies and coordinate prioritized fixes.
• Support media and public-relations activity as needed.
5. Operating-company marketing support
• Conduct marketing reviews of each operating company and coordinate prioritized improvements to websites, collateral, messaging, and brand consistency.
• Develop co-branded templates, email signatures, presentations, and customer-facing materials within each operating company’s brand.
• Build strong working relationships with operating-company leaders and marketing contacts, and provide responsive, practical support that respects local identity and customer relationships.
6. Planning, vendor, and project management
• Run the BCTS marketing and communications calendar from planning through delivery, managing timelines, deliverables, and approvals.
• Select and manage marketing vendors and creative partners: quotes, timelines, deliverable review, and quality control.
• Run the merchandise program, including approved vendors, ordering, co-branding requirements, and inventory.
• Build repeatable processes, templates, and workflows, and maintain project trackers and documentation.
7. Measurement and reporting
• Track and report on newsletter engagement, website activity, campaign performance, project completion, and marketing adoption across the operating companies.
• Maintain reporting dashboards, and act on opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
8. Acquisition and integration support
• Review the brand, website, collateral, and communications of acquired companies.
• Coordinate customer and employee announcements.
• Develop onboarding materials and integration processes for both tuck-in and stand-alone pathways, and apply the consolidated approach to every acquisition.
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, brand management, or a related role.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities without dropping details.
• Experience coordinating vendors, creative production, and marketing projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Working familiarity with email marketing platforms, website content management, social media, and digital marketing tools.
Preferred
• B2B, professional services, construction, facility services, or HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical services experience.
• Experience in a multi-company, portfolio, franchise, or corporate marketing environment.
• Experience with brand development, style guides, collateral systems, and asset libraries.
• Experience with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, or reporting tools.
• Experience with acquisition, integration, or change communications.
• Experience running merchandise programs, trade shows, or event marketing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Organized and dependable; you finish details, not just start them.
• Strong communicator and relationship builder with leadership, operating-company teams, and vendors.
• Practical problem-solver who works independently and knows when to bring others in.
• Able to balance corporate priorities with the needs of individual operating companies.
• Good judgment and discretion with sensitive or confidential information.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, acquisitive environment where priorities shift.
• Curious, positive, collaborative, and service-oriented.
