Are you ready to drive the marketing for Australia’s premier B2B food and hospitality event portfolio?

Food and hospitality is a vital industry - people will always need to eat, drink and connect. This is an opportunity to market to the businesses and people that keep this essential industry moving. We are looking for a commercial, data-driven, highly organised and collaborative Marketing Manager to deliver end-to-end campaigns for our flagship food & hospitality trade show portfolio.

Working closely with the Group Marketing Manager and Portfolio Director, you will be responsible for bringing our event strategies to life. If you understand the nuances of B2B audiences, love the energy of major live events, and thrive in an environment where you can create and optimise high-performing campaigns, this is your next move.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • High-Visibility Portfolio: You will manage campaigns for a successful, established portfolio, working in close collaboration with senior leadership to drive further growth
  • Industry Prestige: You’ll be marketing to a passionate, dynamic sector; connecting top-tier suppliers with chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, and food industry executives.
  • The Best of Both Worlds: Enjoy the agility and brand equity of a major industry event, backed by the infrastructure and financial strength of National Media (an AFR Fast 100 company).

What You’ll Be Responsible for

  • Marketing Strategy: With the guidance and direction of the Group Marketing Manager, translate the portfolio strategy into clear campaign plans, audience segmentation and activity that drives visitor growth, buyer quality and exhibitor leads.
  • Campaign Delivery: Plan, execute and optimise multi-channel campaigns across email, digital advertising, SMS, content and partnerships.
  • Market & Customer Insight: Build a strong understanding of our buyers, exhibitors and the food & hospitality industry, using customer conversations, market insights and campaign data to improve marketing decisions.
  • Lead Generation: Own a consistent weekly flow of high-quality exhibitor leads, while continually identifying and testing new lead sources to support commercial targets.
  • Commercial Performance: Own campaign performance against agreed registration, attendance, audience quality and lead-generation targets, identifying risks early and recommending actions to improve results.
  • Content & Copywriting: Write compelling B2B marketing copy, shape campaign messaging and ensure creative delivers against objectives.
  • Partnerships: Build relationships with industry bodies, media partners and key influencers to grow event reach and engagement.
  • Data & Performance: Use campaign and audience data to understand what is and isn’t working, make clear recommendations and continuously optimise performance. Own the quality and growth of the portfolio database, ensuring it remains accurate, relevant and commercially valuable.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Executives and Coordinators to deliver campaigns to a high standard, providing clear direction and mentorship.
  • Live Events: Support the delivery and promotion of major events, ensuring marketing activity translates into results on the show floor.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 7+ years' marketing experience; B2B exhibitions and/or event marketing experience is highly regarded.
  • A solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to make recommendations and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Strong digital marketing knowledge and experience delivering multi-channel campaigns.
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to turn data and insights into action.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and an eye for effective creative.
  • Experience managing stakeholders, partnerships and competing priorities.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the confidence to lead while rolling up your sleeves.
  • Superior organisation skills and an eye for detail
  • A genuine interest in food and hospitality is a bonus!

The Perks

  • Competitive salary package tailored to your experience level.
  • Genuine hybrid flexibility to support your work-life balance.
  • Be part of a vibrant, multicultural team that actively celebrates wins and invests heavily in internal career progression.
  • Access to comprehensive employee wellbeing programs and annual social calendar events.
