- Review each request for its objective, intended audience, required research sources, reporting expectations, and due dates before organizing the work into trackable steps.
- Research competitor campaigns, publicly available product positioning, and audience trends, recording source links and separating verified observations from assumptions for later review.
- Organize campaign milestones, dependencies, and review dates, following up with campaign managers when missing information or delayed decisions could affect planned activities.
- Maintain campaign trackers using a spreadsheets and data entry tool such as Google Sheets, checking labels, date ranges, formulas, and entries for consistency.
- Coordinate approved audience surveys through a survey tool such as Qualtrics, checking question order and response options against the research brief before launch.
- Review survey summaries and campaign performance reports, compare results with stated objectives, and highlight patterns or gaps without presenting uncertain findings as established conclusions.
- Prepare concise status summaries that explain completed tasks, pending inputs, research findings, and recommended questions for discussion with the marketing team.
- Escalate conflicting priorities, unclear research requests, or inconsistent figures to the marketing team lead, then track agreed next steps through completion.
- Maintain complete handoff notes and source references; work quality is assessed through accuracy, turnaround, complete notes, and timely follow-up on open items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- About 1-2 years of experience in marketing coordination, marketing research, or campaign support preferred, with familiarity organizing desk-based marketing activities.
- Understanding of marketing objectives, audience segments, campaign milestones, and common performance measures, including how context affects comparisons between campaigns.
- Familiarity with project tracking, spreadsheet verification, and survey workflows, with the ability to learn the example systems described above.
- Ability to assess publicly available research sources, distinguish observations from interpretations, and summarize findings without overstating what the information supports.
- Clear written and verbal communication for status updates, research summaries, follow-up questions, and discussions with colleagues who have different responsibilities.
- Ability to organize competing requests, maintain accurate task notes, and recognize when a question requires guidance from the marketing team lead.
- A reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace, plus availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
