Team Description: The Marketplace – Global team is part of Wego's Commercial function. The team manages existing partnerships with Airlines, OTAs, Channel Managers, and Affiliates, and identifies new opportunities to grow the Flights marketplace business, working alongside some of the most innovative online marketing and product teams in the travel industry. The Role: This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn the Marketplace Commercial business at Wego by directly supporting the Business Development Manager. You will assist in managing existing partnerships with Airlines, OTAs, Channel Managers, and Affiliates, and help identify new opportunities to grow the Flights marketplace business. The role is designed for someone eager to develop technical, analytical, and commercial skills while working alongside some of the most innovative online marketing and product teams in the travel industry. You will help analyze campaign performance, prepare reports, and contribute ideas that shape day-to-day partner conversations. What you will be working on: Support the Business Development Manager in day-to-day account management for Airlines, Channel Managers, Affiliates, and OTAs. Assist in maintaining positive relationships with Wego partners through regular follow-ups and clear, professional communication. Help prepare account performance decks, media plans, and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders. Track partner campaigns and flag any issues or opportunities to the manager or operations team. Assist in gathering market intelligence — monitoring competitor activity, industry trends, and new partner opportunities. Coordinate with the Marketing team on partner campaign setup, monitoring, and optimization tasks. Support the Operations team in preparing and validating regular business reports. Coordinate with the Finance and Data teams to help track invoicing, payment status, and reconciliations. Learn to identify and address basic data issues in reports to reduce errors. Core Responsibilities: Timely, well-formatted partner performance reports and dashboards under the guidance of the manager. Assist in onboarding documentation and initial communication with newly signed partners. Contribute to achieving the team's monthly and quarterly targets through diligent operational support. Help maintain partner records, meeting notes, and follow-up trackers. Cross-functional coordination with Marketing, Operations, Technology, Finance, and Data teams as directed. Take ownership of small projects assigned by the Business Development Manager and see them through to completion. Skills and experience: Recent graduate or final-year student in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, Marketing, or a related field. No prior work experience required; internships, part-time roles, or academic projects in travel/e-commerce are a plus. Strong interest in the travel industry and digital marketplaces. Good analytical mindset with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables); willingness to learn advanced Excel is essential. Strong written and spoken English communication skills; Arabic is a plus. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external partners. Comfortable working with multi-cultural and cross-cultural teams. Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow into a full-time commercial role. Additional Info: Reports to: Business Development Manager. Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance). Hands-on exposure to the online travel marketplace and digital advertising ecosystem. Direct mentorship from the Business Development Manager and wider commercial team. Practical experience across partner management, media planning, analytics, and finance coordination. A clear pathway to a full-time Key Account Executive role based on performance.
