Medical Coder

TASKS:  At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Coder or similar BPO role involving US Healthcare accounts Tasked with accurately coding healthcare claims to secure insurance reimbursement. Tasked with examining medical records to accurately assign procedure and diagnosis codes for daily charges. Possesses a good understanding of coding guidelines. Familiar with coding Local and National Coverage Determination Guidelines. Stays up-to-date on new codes and updates in coding practices. Identifies and addresses missing, conflicting, or unclear clinician documentation regarding diagnoses and procedures. Collaborates with medical staff to resolve coding issues and related challenges. Provides support to the Billing Department when required. REQUIREMENT: Background in medical coding (licensure not necessarily required) Basic knowledge of billing procedures Strong communication skills in English Proficient written skills in English Full-time availability during the Graveyard Shift (40 hours per week) Tech-savviness Ability to work with minimal supervision Adequate and suitable home office setup BENEFITS: A competitive starting wage of $800 - $900.
