This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation at a pivotal stage of its development, offering the chance to shape the future of integrated healthcare delivery across Buckinghamshire. With an established portfolio of urgent care services and significant ambitions to expand its primary care and community-based provision, the organisation is looking for a credible clinical leader who can combine strategic vision with strong stakeholder engagement and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

If you are passionate about strengthening primary care, developing services and influencing healthcare delivery at scale, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing executive clinical leadership across primary, urgent and community healthcare services.
  • Developing and delivering the organisation's clinical strategy, supporting its long-term growth and strategic objectives.
  • Leading clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Providing professional leadership, support and development to a multidisciplinary clinical workforce and senior clinical leadership team.
  • Building strong relationships with GP member practices, Primary Care Networks, NHS Trusts, commissioners, the ICB, local authorities and wider healthcare partners.
  • Acting as a senior clinical ambassador, representing the organisation at system-wide meetings and external stakeholder forums.
  • Leading service transformation and developing innovative models of care.

About You

We are keen to speak with an ambitious, credible and collaborative clinical leader who can bring people together, influence at system level and help shape the future of primary and urgent care.

To be considered, you will have:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • Inclusion on the GMC GP Register.
  • Evidence of successful appraisal, revalidation and ongoing CPD.
  • Significant senior clinical leadership experience within the NHS.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams and managing senior clinical colleagues.
  • A strong understanding of primary care, general practice and the wider NHS landscape.
  • Experience of clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • A track record of leading service transformation, clinical improvement and organisational change.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation skills.

Location

This is a hybrid position based across Buckinghamshire.

  • Salary: £140,000 – £160,000, dependent on experience.
  • NHS Pension Scheme.
  • 30 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
