Role Description This is a full-time remote role for Spanish-English Medical Interpreters providing Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services. Day-to-day tasks include accurately interpreting medical information between Spanish and English speakers in real time, ensuring clarity, confidentiality, and adherence to professional standards. The role involves handling patient appointments, consultations, and medical procedures across different healthcare settings, following provider protocols and compliance requirements. Interpreters will use company systems and platforms to manage calls, scheduling, documentation, and quality assurance. The position requires consistent availability, reliable connectivity, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with supervisors and support teams.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Medical Interpretation and Interpreting skills, with demonstrated ability to work in clinical and hospital settings.
- Candidates should possess Medical Terminology knowledge in both Spanish and English, especially related to diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.
- Candidates should possess Simultaneous Interpretation and consecutive interpretation skills for live OPI and VRI interactions.
- Candidates should possess Translation skills for short medical notes, instructions, or patient education materials when required.
- Candidates should possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, with clear, professional communication.
- Candidates should possess prior experience as a medical or community interpreter; professional interpreter certification is preferred.
- Candidates should possess strong ethical standards, confidentiality awareness (HIPAA or equivalent), and cultural competence.
- Candidates should possess reliable high-speed internet, a quiet professional workspace, and proficiency with remote communication tools.
- Candidates should possess strong time management, problem-solving, and the ability to remain calm in urgent or sensitive medical situations.
