As an AETHER Project Partner embedded within the project team, your objective will be to manage the entire procurement cycle for strategic electrical equipment, from defining the contracting strategy through to contract award.

Job Description
As an AETHER Project Partner embedded within the project team, your objective will be to manage the entire procurement cycle for strategic electrical equipment, from defining the contracting strategy through to contract award.
Key Responsibilities Include
In this role, the consultant will be responsible for:
- Collaborating closely with the technical and asset management departments to gain a comprehensive overview of long-term requirements.
- Analyzing the market and potential suppliers worldwide, monitoring industry developments and anticipating the organization's needs.
- Developing the medium- and long-term procurement plan for strategic electrical equipment based on the market analysis.
- Defining and implementing procurement strategies in consultation with internal stakeholders.
- Actively contributing to the implementation of the group's sustainability policies.
- Managing European public procurement procedures from A (defining selection and award criteria) to Z (negotiating and awarding the contract), accounting for 80% of the assignment.
- Contributing to the optimization of internal procurement processes, methods and tools by leveraging your experience with European public procurement procedures.
- Independently assuming responsibility for a complete asset category with a global scope, depending on your level of experience.
- Helping to develop synergies and best practices across the group's various entities.
Profile
- Master's degree in engineering or economics, with a strong technical focus
- Trilingual proficiency in French, Dutch and English (one native language and C1 proficiency in the other two). Basic German is an asset.
- 2 to 5 years of experience preferred in a technical environment, public procurement or project management.
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, initiative, resilience under pressure and a problem-solving mindset.
- Analytical mindset and results-oriented approach.
- Affinity with legal terminology and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in commonly used Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Ariba is an asset.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement combining remote work and on-site presence.
- Availability for occasional business travel each year within partner entities.
- Entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus, including extracurricular or academic experience.
