Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Transformation Lead

Location: Chorzów, Poland
Work model: Hybrid

More than a job: a mission

Our Chorzów site is undergoing a major digital transformation, including the transition to CATIA V6 and new Product Lifecycle Management processes and ways of working.

In this role, you will lead the local deployment and adoption of new PLM methods, processes and digital tools, while ensuring the continuity and quality of product data across the organization.

This is a cross-functional site role, working at the intersection of Engineering, Industrialization, Procurement/Sourcing and Digital & Information Systems. You will connect teams involved throughout the product data lifecycle, align priorities and help ensure that processes, data and digital solutions work effectively across functions.

You will also represent the Chorzów site towards central PLM, Digital and transformation teams, acting as a key local business point of contact and ensuring that site needs, priorities, risks and dependencies are understood and addressed.

The ongoing PLM transformation will be a key focus over the coming years, while the scope of the role will progressively extend to further digital tools, projects and transformation initiatives.

Your role, your impact

  • Lead the site deployment and adoption of PLM solutions, translating the central roadmap into an executable local plan, managing key milestones, readiness, dependencies and risks, and preparing the organization for cutover, go-live and transition to stable operations.
  • Act as the site Business Process Expert for PLM, ensuring consistent application of processes, standards and best practices, identifying improvement opportunities and supporting the development of Key Users and the wider user community.
  • Ensure product data continuity, quality and integrity across the product lifecycle, coordinating topics such as product structures, configuration, Bills of Materials and data migration across Engineering, Industrialization, Procurement/Sourcing and Digital & Information Systems.
  • Coordinate business stakeholders involved in the transformation, collecting and prioritizing business needs, assessing the impact of changes to processes, roles, tools and data, and driving agreed actions through to completion.
  • Act as the voice of the Chorzów site towards central PLM, Digital and transformation teams, serving as the business entry point for Digital & Information Systems, coordinating escalations and reporting progress, KPIs, risks, key issues and decisions to Site Management and central program stakeholders.
  • Manage the local Methods & Tools scope, including resources, competencies, priorities, budget and functional support, while monitoring performance and supporting the site's readiness for future digital transformation initiatives.

What you bring

  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management, Methods & Tools, Engineering, Industrialization, technical project management or digital transformation within a complex industrial environment.
  • Good understanding of product lifecycle processes and product data. Experience with product structures, configuration, Bill of Materials or data migration would be an advantage.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills, including planning, prioritization, risk and dependency management, and structured follow-up.
  • Ability to challenge constructively, connect different perspectives and translate complex technical and organizational topics into concrete actions.
  • Fluent English, enabling effective collaboration with international teams in a matrix organization.
  • Knowledge of CATIA would be an advantage.

How success is measured

  • PLM deployment is delivered with strong organizational, process, data and user readiness, enabling a smooth transition to stable day-to-day operations.
  • Product data remains reliable and PLM processes are effectively embedded across functions, supported by capable Key Users and consistent ways of working.
  • Engineering, Industrialization, Procurement/Sourcing and Digital & Information Systems collaborate effectively across the product lifecycle, while site priorities, risks and business needs are clearly represented and addressed with central teams.

Alstom, a great place to grow

  • Take a visible site-level role connecting different business functions with central digital transformation teams.
  • Play a key role in a major PLM transformation and help shape how processes, digital tools and product data are managed across the Chorzów site.
  • Develop your expertise through collaboration with local and international business, project and technical teams.
  • Grow your scope as new digital tools, technologies and transformation initiatives are introduced.

Here, progress isn't always easy. The scale is massive, the tasks are complex, but the impact is real. Because when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects, that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
