Microsoft 365 Consultant | Tenant-to-Tenant Migration

Expertech is currently looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the integration of an acquired business into the parent organisation's Microsoft 365 environment.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on planning and executing an enterprise-scale tenant-to-tenant migration across identity, email, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. You will help shape the migration approach, manage technical dependencies and support a controlled transition while minimising disruption to business operations.

The successful candidate will bring proven experience delivering large-scale M365 tenant migrations, a strong consulting background and the ability to engage confidently with clients from day one. This is a 6-12 month fixed-term contract, based in Melbourne, with an ASAP start. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with some time in the Melbourne office required to support migration planning, collaboration and key integration activities.

Essential Skills And Experience

• Demonstrated experience planning and executing enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Strong consulting background and experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
• Understanding of identity integration and the dependencies involved in migrating users and workloads between tenants.
• Experience developing migration plans, sequencing workloads and coordinating technical cutover activities.
• Ability to identify migration risks, troubleshoot technical issues and support effective resolution.
• Strong understanding of business continuity requirements during enterprise migrations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with technical teams, business stakeholders and programme leadership.
  
  

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience delivering M365 migrations as part of a merger, acquisition or corporate divestment.
• Experience in the energy, utilities or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Exposure to environments where IT and operational technology (OT) operate side by side.
• Familiarity with enterprise identity and access management, including Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience coordinating migration activities across geographically dispersed business environments.
