Mid-Level M&A/PE Associate

About the Role

Join the Corporate Services Group of a regional business law firm as a mid-level M&A/PE Associate. You will lead transactions and handle general corporate work, with early and frequent client exposure in a collaborative, lean team.

What You'll Do

• Manage M&A deals from due diligence through closing.

• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, merger agreements, financing documents, and other transactional documents.

• Advise clients on general corporate matters, including entity formations, corporate structuring, and ongoing business needs.

• Work closely with partners and take on significant client-facing responsibilities.

• Support private equity sponsors and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

• Four to eight years of M&A and private equity transactional experience.

• Ability to independently run a deal from start to finish.

• Law firm experience, including familiarity with billing and managing multiple client relationships.

• Admission to practice law in Missouri or Illinois.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $205,000 to $285,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid role based primarily in St. Louis, Missouri, with Chicago, Illinois also listed as a potential work location.
