ML Ops Engineer - AWS 12 month Contract

We are hiring a ML Ops / Machine learning Engineer who has come from a strong DevOps Engineering & AWS Cloud platform background for a 12 Month contract (with possible 12 month extension). This is for a critical Government Agency and due to requirements for security clearance (up to Negative Vetting 1) - any applicant must either have held an Australian security clearance before or be an Australian Citizen eligible to obtain NV1.

• Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane, Canberra or Adelaide
• Hybrid Work: Typical hybrid arrangement is 2-3 days in office, 2-3 days WFH per week
• Pay Rate: $750 - $950 per day (including super, or plus GST if you have a Pty Ltd)

About the team:

You will work in cross-functional squads with a small, but highly technical team of Data Scientists, Analytics and Data Engineering professionals, including experienced DS/ML Leaders working in squads. The team is growing and this role will be focussed on ML Ops, DevOps & some LLMOps for the AWS cloud platform that the Data Science team work on. They are on their journey towards more maturity - so you will have plenty of room to bring in and build out new services and best practices for reliable, secure, scalable, performant platform and tooling to deploy both traditional ML and GenAI solutions.

Minimum experience / skill requirements:

• No less than 4 years of professional experience in ML Ops, DevOps, ML Engineer, Cloud Engineer and Platform Engineer roles - ideally working in AWS stack primarily
• More than 2 years experience using AWS Cloud services with responsibilities for platform build, CI/CD, supporting ML and Data Science (and/or AI) deployment within an enterprise or government environment
• Experience with IaC - CDK, Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Experience for 1 year (minimum) working alongside Data Science, ML and AI teams
• Current/past Baseline Clearance or current Australian Citizen to obtain required security clearance
