About the Role
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Mobile App Media Buyer to grow our apps through paid user acquisition. You’ll plan, launch, and optimize campaigns across Meta, AppLovin, and TikTok, managing budgets, creative tests, and performance reporting.
You’ll focus on acquiring users who do more than install: users who activate, stay engaged, and generate revenue. You’ll work with creative, product, and analytics teams to improve the journey from seeing an ad to taking meaningful action in the app.
Responsibilities
Plan, launch, and optimize mobile app campaigns in Meta Ads Manager, AppLovin, and TikTok Ads Manager.
Manage budgets, pacing, bids, and spending across platforms, iOS and Android, markets, and creative tests.
Scale campaigns while meeting agreed acquisition cost, return on ad spend (ROAS), and payback targets.
Choose campaign goals and optimization events that fit the app’s business model, such as activation, trial starts, subscriptions, purchases, or in-app ad revenue.
Track and analyze cost per install (CPI), customer acquisition cost (CAC), ROAS, retention, lifetime value (LTV), and payback by user cohort.
Run structured tests with clear hypotheses, budgets, and decision criteria. Document results and recommend what to test next.
Create briefs for ad concepts and work with designers, editors, and creators on app demos, user-generated content, hooks, and messaging.
Monitor creative performance, spot ad fatigue, and recommend when to refresh or replace ads.
Work with analytics and technical teams to check app events, revenue reporting, and attribution. Investigate differences between ad platforms, measurement tools, and internal reporting.
Identify drop-offs in the app store, onboarding, and purchase or subscription flows, and recommend improvements to the teams responsible.
Share weekly reports explaining performance changes, budget decisions, risks, and next steps.
Keep up with advertising platform changes, policies, and mobile privacy updates.
Must-Have Skills
Qualifications
Hands-on experience acquiring users for mobile apps through Meta, AppLovin, and TikTok, with clear examples of your work and results on each platform.
Direct experience buying app acquisition campaigns through AppLovin as an advertiser.
Experience managing campaigns for both iOS and Android.
Practical understanding of mobile attribution, privacy constraints, reporting delays, and attribution windows.
Working knowledge of a mobile measurement partner such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Singular, along with app analytics and spreadsheet-based analysis.
Ability to connect ad decisions with user retention and revenue, and to explain tradeoffs between acquisition cost and user value.
Strong creative judgment and disciplined testing habits.
Clear communication skills and the ability to manage campaigns independently while working with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have
Experience with subscription apps, in-app purchases, or apps supported by in-app advertising.
