Job Description This is a remote position. Location: Remote Engagement Type: Project-based Assignment; B2B Contract (Outside IR35) Duration: 6 months with auto renew Timezone: CET ± 2 hours Be part of our Global Engineering Network! One of our clients, a leader in the Telecommunications sector is looking for a Mobile Core Network Engineer who will be part of the IoT Core team responsible for the correct installation, operation and maintenance of state-of-the-art core network focusing on latest technologies such as IoT, 4.5G and 5G mobile telephony. This highly technical role is also focused on delivering the client's mobile telephony and IoT services in a consistent and reliable manner. Key Deliverables- Researching, recommending and implementing technical solutions. Troubleshooting of problems and providing timely corrective action. Introducing new equipment while maintaining equipment under responsibility. Report generation and data analysis. Monitoring and analysing technical reports. Preparing technical procedures and delivering training. Requirements Ideal Profile- 5+ years of experience in a similar role with Ericsson mobile packet core network equipment (SGSN-MME, SGW/PGW/GGSN, DNS, HSS, AAA). The more experience with multiple packet core nodes, the better. CCNA certification (or equivalent routing and switching expertise). Experience with designing mobile IP networks , including packet core architectures. Experience with installing and configuring Cisco networking equipment, including but not limited to configurations of OSPF, HSRP, BGP, MPLS ( key for routing and switching in packet core environments ). Experience with creating and changing Checkpoint firewalls rulebase (relevant for IP security in packet core networks). Knowledge and experience of SS7, Diameter, and GTP signalling, including protocol tracing and analysis (critical for Ericsson packet core troubleshooting). Strong teamwork skills, committed to achieving results. A Degree/Diploma in ICT, IT, networking, telecommunications, or equivalent.
