Mobile Developer (React Native/Android)

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer with strong experience developing mobile applications using React Native and Android/Kotlin. The engineer will work on mobile and tablet applications and will also contribute to native Android functionality and device integrations.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience with React Native and Android to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native.

• Develop native Android functionality using Kotlin.

• Build and maintain React Native integrations with native Android code.

• Work with device connectivity and technologies such as BLE, NFC, and UWB.

• Integrate mobile applications with APIs, devices, and backend services.

• Troubleshoot mobile, connectivity, and device-related issues.

• Ensure applications are reliable and perform well across supported devices.

• Participate in code reviews and follow mobile development best practices.

• Work closely with backend, frontend, product, and other engineering teams.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.

• Strong experience with React Native.

• Strong Android development experience with Kotlin.

• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience integrating React Native with native Android functionality.

• Experience working with APIs and backend services.

• Understanding of Android application architecture and lifecycle.

• Experience troubleshooting mobile applications and device-related issues.

• Strong Git experience.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned features.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

• Initiative and drive to do great things.

Nice to Have

• Experience with BLE, NFC, or UWB.

• Experience working with physical devices or hardware integrations.

• Experience developing mobile SDKs or native modules.

• Experience with tablet applications.

• Experience with mobile CI/CD and automated testing.
