MADEC Australia

MADEC Australia is a leading national provider of workforce solutions, employment services, training and support programs, having grown from humble beginnings as a Mildura-based community organisation more than 50 years ago. MADEC’s enduring purpose is to make a difference to people’s lives and break down workforce barriers by connecting individuals, skills and employers through integrated solutions.

Through the delivery of labour hire and seasonal worker activities, MADEC has played a prominent role in the labour market including large‑scale labour hire on-shore operations as well as the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme, delivered in partnership with the Australian government and countries in the Pacific Islands and Timor-Leste by providing access to work opportunities in Australia.

MADEC is undergoing an exciting phase of transformation and business growth and has several new positions available.

This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape workforce strategy and support one of Australia's largest labour mobility programs. Reporting to the General Manager Workforce Solutions, you will lead workforce planning, mobilisation and talent pipeline activities supporting MADEC's national labour hire and PALM operations.

Working closely with operational leaders, employers, labour sending units and government stakeholders, you will ensure workforce supply aligns with customer demand while delivering positive outcomes for workers, host employers and regional communities.

This is far more than a traditional recruitment role. Combining workforce planning, mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and operational leadership, you will help develop workforce solutions, forecast labour requirements and drive mobilisation outcomes across Australia and the Pacific. Your ability to balance commercial, operational and stakeholder priorities will be critical to ongoing success.

The role offers significant travel throughout Australia, the Pacific Islands and Timor-Leste, providing the opportunity to build strong stakeholder relationships and support recruitment and mobilisation activities across multiple countries.

You may have built your career in workforce planning, labour hire, recruitment, operations, human resources or another fast-paced, resource-intensive environment. Experience within hospitality, retail, healthcare, aged care, FMCG or similar industries, particularly involving high-volume or international recruitment, will be highly regarded.

You are commercially astute, highly organised and an accomplished relationship builder, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Your leadership capability, analytical mindset, situational awareness and collaborative approach will support continuous improvement and strong workforce outcomes.

Resilient and adaptable, you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy solving complex workforce challenges. Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to create meaningful outcomes for workers, employers and communities across Australia and the Pacific.

A current driver’s licence and National Police Clearance are required. This position can be based remotely/hybrid but requires flexibility to travel frequently, including nationally, and to the Pacific Islands and Timor Leste.
