Show job description

ULTRA TYPE is looking for an experienced Freelance Motion Graphics Producer to collaborate with us on animation and motion design projects.

We're looking for someone who can manage projects smoothly from the first client conversations through final delivery, acting as the main link between the client, our creative team, and production.

This is a freelance, fully remote position, with a lean production structure, flexible workload, and a reasonable level of responsibility.

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for the day-to-day production and client management of motion graphics and animation projects.

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Understand client briefs, objectives, deliverables, and constraints.
  • Translate briefs into clear production plans.
  • Work with management to define project scope, budgets, and production approaches.
  • Manage schedules, milestones, feedback rounds, and final deliveries.
  • Coordinate designers, motion designers, animators, illustrators, and other creative specialists.
  • Ensure the team has the information, references, feedback, and assets needed to work efficiently.

Client Communication & Management

  • Act as the main day-to-day point of contact for clients.
  • Organize and lead key production calls.
  • Participate in creative discussions alongside the creative team when needed.
  • Communicate clearly between clients and creative teams.
  • Consolidate client feedback and translate it into actionable direction.

Budget & Scope Management

  • Handle client discussions around pricing, scope changes, and additional requests.
  • Negotiate when necessary to protect project value and maintain healthy margins.
  • Identify potential scope creep and communicate additional costs when appropriate.

Production Follow-Through

  • Keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward without unnecessary processes.
  • Anticipate production challenges and resolve day-to-day issues before they affect delivery.

What We're Looking For

You have experience producing motion graphics, animation, or design-driven content for a studio, agency, or production company.

You understand the main stages of a motion design project, from concept and styleframes through storyboarding, design, animation, sound, and final delivery.

You don't need to be a designer or animator, but you should be comfortable following creative discussions and understanding what both clients and creative teams are talking about.

Ideally, you are someone who:

  • Has solid experience managing motion design or animation projects.
  • Is confident communicating directly with clients and leading production calls.
  • Can manage deadlines, expectations, and feedback efficiently.
  • Is comfortable discussing budgets, additional costs, and scope changes.
  • Is organized, proactive, reliable, and independent.
  • Can coordinate several creative contributors and projects simultaneously.
  • Understands when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate it.
  • Communicates in professional-level English.

The Profile

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Client-focused
  • Organized and reliable
  • Comfortable working with creative teams
  • Commercially aware without being sales-driven
  • Practical, efficient, and solution-oriented

Above all, this role is about making sure projects run smoothly, creative teams can focus on their work, and clients feel well looked after.

Freelance / Fully Remote

This is a freelance, part-time collaboration, not a full-time employment position.

The workload will vary depending on our production schedule, with no fixed weekly hours.

We're looking to build a long-term working relationship with someone who values flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute to exciting creative projects.

How to Apply

Please send us:

  • Your CV or LinkedIn profile
  • A short introduction
  • Examples of motion design or animation projects you've produced
  • A brief description of your responsibilities on those projects
  • Your location and time zone
  • Your availability
  • Your typical freelance day rate

  • We're particularly interested in your experience managing clients, schedules, feedback, budgets, and creative teams.

We look forward to hearing from you!
