Role Description

The .NET MAUI Developer is a hybrid role based in Multan, Pakistan. This position is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing production-grade cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI, C#, and related .NET technologies.

The developer will work on applications running across Windows and Android, including physical Android phones, tablets, and specialized POS devices. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing application performance, integrating APIs and backend services, working with local data persistence, and ensuring application reliability across different devices and platforms.

The role requires hands-on experience with offline-first applications, synchronization, connectivity handling, application state management, and real-device debugging. The developer will collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

The developer will also contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, technical documentation, mentoring junior developers, and improving engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in C# programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with the ability to design clean, maintainable, modular, and testable code.
• 3+ years of professional C#/.NET development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on production experience with .NET MAUI preferred.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining cross-platform mobile and desktop applications using .NET MAUI.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, SOLID principles, dependency injection, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience developing applications for Android and Windows.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting applications on physical Android devices, including phones, tablets, or specialized devices.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, asynchronous programming, and third-party service integration.
• Experience with local databases/data persistence and application state management.
• Practical understanding of offline-first application development and data synchronization.
• Experience handling connectivity loss, retries, synchronization, failed operations, and recovery after application restart.
• Ability to diagnose platform-specific issues involving UI, touch/input, lifecycle, performance, permissions, and device compatibility.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, profile, and optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Experience working with existing production codebases, understanding unfamiliar architecture, and safely implementing changes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes rather than only applying workarounds.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, code reviews, sprint planning, and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience developing Restaurant POS or Retail POS applications.
• Experience with payment processing or payment terminals.
• Experience with PAX or similar Android POS devices.
• Experience with TCP/IP or socket-based communication.
• Experience with offline transactions / Store-and-Forward (SAF) concepts.
• Experience integrating printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, customer displays, or other hardware peripherals.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core / .NET backend services.
• Experience with Azure or AWS.
• Experience with automated testing.

Important

This position is not intended for candidates whose experience is limited to basic MAUI UI development, tutorials, simple CRUD applications, or simulator-only Android development.

We are looking for a senior engineer who can work independently on a production application, understand an existing codebase, troubleshoot difficult real-device issues, work with offline-first functionality, identify root causes, and deliver reliable solutions.

Candidates with strong production .NET MAUI, Android, offline-first, POS, or device-integration experience will be given priority.
