NetSuite Developer – County Durham / Hybrid

Salary: £40,000–£55,000 per annum, depending on experience

About The Company

Erin Associates is supporting a well-established and growing organisation as it expands its in-house development team. The organisation is investing in a major NetSuite implementation, with plans to roll out the platform across all areas of its business. This is an opportunity to join an established team and contribute to a business-wide transformation, helping develop a reliable ERP platform that supports operational needs and future growth.

Erin Associates Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews are expected to take place as soon as possible.

About The Role

The organisation is seeking a hands-on NetSuite Developer to play a key role in the development, testing and ongoing maintenance of its new ERP platform. You will work closely with colleagues to understand business requirements and translate them into dependable technical solutions. As the team’s subject matter expert for NetSuite development, you will also share your knowledge and experience to strengthen the team’s capabilities.

This role is based in County Durham, with a preference for two days per week in the office. Flexible working arrangements may be discussed for the right candidate. The position offers a salary of £40,000–£55,000, depending on experience, along with opportunities to develop your career as the implementation progresses.

Qualifications

You will bring proven, practical experience developing solutions within NetSuite and a strong understanding of SuiteScript and NetSuite data models. Experience using Azure DevOps and Git for development workflows and version control is required. You should be comfortable interpreting requirements, assessing technical options and delivering solutions that meet agreed development standards and timelines.

Experience supporting business analysis, facilitating workshops, conducting system testing and providing user training will be valuable. You will need excellent communication skills, including the confidence to explain technical concepts and present information to stakeholders or clients. Relevant NetSuite certifications are desirable. A proactive approach, strong problem-solving ability and an interest in identifying system enhancements will help you succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, maintain and enhance NetSuite solutions as part of a major ERP implementation. Work with stakeholders and team members to understand business processes, gather requirements and shape those requirements into practical, reliable technical outcomes. Build and support SuiteScript-based functionality, working with NetSuite data models and established development practices.

Contribute to the platform’s rollout across different areas of the business, helping ensure solutions are fit for purpose and appropriately tested. Support system testing, investigate issues and resolve defects, while keeping work aligned with agreed timelines and standards. Participate in workshops and business analysis activities, document relevant findings, and provide user training to support adoption. Act as the team’s NetSuite development specialist by sharing knowledge, answering technical questions and helping colleagues develop their skills. Identify opportunities to improve system performance, usability and business processes.

Benefits

The package includes a basic salary of £40,000–£55,000, depending on experience, and hybrid working. You will have access to progression and career development opportunities, alongside a broad range of additional benefits. These include life insurance, enhanced paternity provision, a health and wellbeing programme, free parking, gym memberships and a cycle-to-work scheme, as well as further employee benefits.

Equal Opportunity

Erin Associates welcomes applications from people of all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations and disabilities.
