Network Architect

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design, implement, and support secure enterprise network and infrastructure environments.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position combining network architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, project managers, architects, sales teams, and technical resources to develop and deliver secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather client requirements and develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for network, wireless, security, and cloud-connected environments.
• Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise networking, security, server, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Design and support wired and wireless network environments using technologies such as Cisco and Meraki.
• Configure and support enterprise firewall and security platforms.
• Conduct infrastructure and security assessments, vulnerability reviews, firewall policy evaluations, and security control assessments.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain client environments to ensure performance, reliability, availability, and security.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, sales teams, and technical specialists to deliver successful technology projects.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and participate in proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Prepare technical designs, network diagrams, assessment reports, implementation documentation, and recommendations.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve client infrastructure, network performance, and security.
• Support cybersecurity, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–3+ years of experience in networking, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, or technical consulting.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise wired and wireless networks.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Meraki networking technologies.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls such as Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and exposure to Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and/or KVM.
• Experience creating HLDs, LLDs, network diagrams, infrastructure assessments, security assessments, and client-facing technical documentation.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, or vendor-specific platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise IT environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA, CCNP Enterprise/Security, or equivalent networking certification.
• Security-related certifications.
• Experience with Tenable/Nessus or other vulnerability assessment tools.
• Experience with HPE/Aruba networking solutions.
• Experience with Silver Peak / Aruba EdgeConnect.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and/or AWS.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
• Experience working in enterprise, public sector, healthcare, or other regulated environments.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
