Network Architect

Role: Network Architect – Cloud Infrastructure

Location: Dublin | Hybrid – 3 Days per Week in Office

Duration: 12-Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to support cloud enablement and infrastructure modernisation, designing secure, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise cloud strategy. The role will involve working across technology teams to design cloud networking solutions, develop infrastructure as code, and enhance existing cloud platforms across Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud networking solutions aligned with enterprise cloud strategy.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terraform Enterprise.
• Design and support Azure networking components, including ExpressRoute, VNets, and firewalls.
• Contribute to architecture reviews, product design activities, and technical design meetings.
• Implement cloud security controls and ensure compliance with architecture and engineering standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA, and project management teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, performance, and reliability.

Key Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in cloud engineering or architecture.
• Strong experience with public cloud platforms, particularly Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, Private Module Registry, and Sentinel.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, including ExpressRoute, VNets, routing, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture frameworks such as Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
• Experience with cloud security tools and services, including Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Maven, alongside automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Understanding of Linux/UNIX, identity management, distributed systems, and web protocols.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with Agile development practices, testing, and software solution architecture.
