About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Network Consultant / Senior Network Engineer to join our IT branch in Portugal, Evoware. This role is ideal for a seasoned networking professional who combines a strong consultative mindset with deep hands-on technical expertise.

The successful candidate will have proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructures in enterprise and mission-critical environments. They will play a key role in architecture design, technical leadership, troubleshooting, and the delivery of innovative networking solutions across multiple technologies and vendors.

This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale networking projects, datacenter transformations, and modernisation initiatives while collaborating closely with customers, vendors, and internal technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise networking solutions based on technologies from multiple vendors, with a particular focus on HPE Aruba Networking and Juniper Networks.
• Configure, optimise, and troubleshoot dynamic routing environments, with strong expertise in OSPF and BGP, integrating routing and switching.
• Produce high and low-level design documentation (HLD/LLD), architecture diagrams, operational
• procedures, and test plans.
• Support Proof of Concept (PoC) activities, validating technical solutions and providing recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.

Essential Technical Skills

Routing & Network Architecture

• Strong practical experience with iBGP and eBGP, route redistribution, convergence, path selection, and troubleshooting routing adjacencies, with solid knowledge also of OSPF, network segmentation technologies and EVPN-VXLAN architectures.
• Proven expertise in designing highly available network architectures.

Switching & Security

• Design and implementation of modern network solutions such as Leaf-Spine architectures.
• Practical experience with NAT, site-to-site VPNs, and next-generation firewall integrations.

Monitoring & Operations

• Strong troubleshooting skills across complex production environments.

Profile:

• 5–10 years relevant experience, with demonstrated experience implementing and supporting network solutions in production environments.
• Comfortable working across multi-vendor environments and rapidly learning new technologies and platforms, with a high level of autonomy, ownership, and accountability.
• Customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
