Network Engineer

Network Engineer | Daytona Beach, FL (Hybrid - 2-3 Days) | Up to $110,000 Per Year

The Opportunity

We are working with a large, well-established organisation in Daytona Beach, Florida, seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its IT team.

This is more than a standard network support role. You will take ownership of a busy campus network, resolving issues day to day while also leading hands-on project work across wireless, switching and firewall infrastructure.

The role is roughly half issue resolution and half project and installation work, including campus Wi-Fi tuning, access-layer improvements and firewall projects. We are looking for someone with solid enterprise networking experience, strong troubleshooting skills and the confidence to work independently across a large multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network performance and connectivity issues across the campus.
• Tune and optimise campus Wi-Fi performance and coverage.
• Configure and maintain routing, switching and access-layer infrastructure.
• Deliver firewall projects and manage firewall configuration and security policies.
• Install and configure wireless access points, switches and other network hardware.
• Support LAN/WAN, voice and data network operations, including VoIP systems.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate low-voltage connectivity for construction and renovation projects.
• Collaborate with wider IT teams on troubleshooting, configuration and integration work.
• Maintain accurate documentation, work orders and technical procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, supporting and troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, wireless and firewalls.
• Experience with some or all of the following technologies:
• Cisco and/or Aruba switching
• Aruba wireless
• Palo Alto firewalls
• Routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
• Layer 2 technologies, including STP, 802.1Q and LACP
• VoIP and voice protocols (SIP, RTP)
• CCNP-level knowledge or equivalent is preferred. Aruba or Palo Alto certifications are an advantage.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SNMP and NetFlow.
• Understanding of structured cabling standards, including copper and fibre.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Strong documentation and organisational skills.
• Must be able to work on site in Daytona Beach 2-3 days per week, ideally living within an hour’s commute.
