Role Description

The Network Support Engineer – 1st Level is a full-time hybrid role based in Irakleio, with the flexibility to perform part of the work from home. In this role, the engineer provides first-line technical support for network-related issues, responding to incidents, service requests, and alerts from internal teams and customers. Daily tasks include monitoring network performance, identifying and troubleshooting connectivity or configuration problems, and escalating complex issues to higher-level support when necessary. The engineer assists with network administration activities, supports the implementation of configuration changes under guidance, and helps maintain documentation of network incidents, resolutions, and procedures. Collaboration with colleagues to ensure stable and secure network operations, as well as clear communication with users, is a core part of the role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in network support, technical support, or a similar IT environment.
• Basic knowledge of network administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing and switching).
• Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve common network and connectivity issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Ability and willingness to work rotational shifts and provide first-level technical support.
• CCNA or other relevant networking certifications will be considered an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills while working alongside experienced network engineers.
