- Oversee all administrative aspects of building and maintaining the NHI, including organizational design, policy development, operational infrastructure, and cross-departmental integration.
- Partner with strategic planners and external consultants to design and implement the governance and operations framework for the NHI, ensuring alignment with the Institute's strategic plan and the broader health system's goals.
- Establish administrative processes, reporting structures, and communication channels that promote transparency, accountability, and collaboration across all NHI-affiliated departments and divisions.

Strategic Planning & Cross-Departmental Integration
- Work in close collaboration with the individual departmental Program Administrators of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and adjacent departments to align departmental operations with NHI-wide priorities while respecting departmental autonomy.
- Partner with the Operations Leads of each of the NHI's Strategic Pillars (Clinical Excellence, Research & Innovation, Education & Training, Community Engagement, and Wellness & Prevention) to ensure administrative support, resource allocation, and operational execution of pillar-specific initiatives.
- Drive the cultural and operational shift from siloed departmental structures to an integrated institute model, fostering shared identity, joint decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Coordinate with strategic planners and consultants on an ongoing basis to refine the NHI strategic plan, track milestones, and adapt operational priorities as the Institute matures.

- Work closely with the NHI Research Administrative Director to build out and support clinical research programs across the Institute, including clinical trials infrastructure, translational research operations, and research compliance.
- Facilitate cross-departmental research collaboration by removing administrative barriers, streamlining shared resource access, and supporting joint grant and contract administration.
- Support the development of research core facilities, shared data platforms, and biobank resources as outlined in the NHI strategic plan.
Financial Planning & Business Operations
- Partner with strategic planners, external consultants, and departmental finance teams to develop a comprehensive long-term business plan and financial model for the NHI.

- Analyze and project space and capacity needs across the Hub-and-Spoke network, incorporating growth assumptions, programmatic expansion, and capital requirements.
- Oversee development of financial dashboards and reporting tools that provide the NHI Director and Executive Committee with timely, actionable data on Institute performance.
- Identify and pursue operational efficiencies, shared services opportunities, and revenue enhancement strategies across the Institute.
Marketing, Philanthropy & External Relations
- Collaborate with the University's Marketing and Communications teams to build and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for the NHI, elevating the Institute's brand locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Work with the Development Office to design and execute a philanthropy strategy that supports the NHI's programmatic and capital priorities, including major gifts, grateful patient programs, and foundation partnerships.
- Support the NHI Director in external relations activities, including community engagement, industry partnerships, and national positioning efforts aimed at establishing the NHI as a standout program.
Human Resources & Talent Development
- Oversee administrative staffing for the NHI central office, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
