About Bayana

Bayana is the operating system for NGOs. We help non-profits, foundations and community organisations run their entire operation in one place:

  • Get verified so donors and volunteers can trust them
  • Organise programs and events
  • Raise money and request material needs
  • Find, onboard and coordinate volunteers
  • Upload and manage beneficiary data, including offline spreadsheets
  • Track their impact on a live dashboard
  • Generate automatic impact reports for donors
  • Issue verified certificates to volunteers

We’ve been building since November 2025 and are preparing to launch with 100 founding NGO partners.

The role

As NGO Partnerships Lead, you’ll be the bridge between Bayana and the NGOs we serve. You’ll bring in our founding NGOs, make sure they succeed on the platform, and build partnerships that grow Bayana’s reach across the social impact space.

This is an early, high-ownership role. You’ll work directly with the CEO, shape how we work with NGOs, and help decide what we build next.

Commitment: Part-time, 15 hours per week, flexible and remote (Lagos preferred)

Compensation: Equity only, with a move to a paid role after funding

What you’ll do

  • Recruit founding NGOs: find, reach out to and sign NGOs, foundations and community projects into our Founding Partner programme
  • Onboard and support: walk NGOs through setup, help them get value from Bayana, and check in regularly
  • Be the voice of the NGO: collect feedback and pain points, and share them with the product team
  • Build partnerships: develop relationships with foundations, CSR teams, NGO networks and community groups
  • Represent Bayana: attend NGO events, speak with founders and grow our presence in the sector
  • Track progress: keep a clear record of pipeline, partners signed and feedback

  • Who you are

    • You have experience in the non-profit or social impact sector, for example as an NGO founder, program manager or volunteer lead
    • You have a strong network of NGO founders and community leaders, or you know how to build one fast
    • You’re a confident communicator, comfortable on calls, at events and in DMs
    • You’re organised and self-driven, and can work independently with little supervision
    • You believe in what Bayana is building and want to grow with an early-stage company

    Nice to have

    • Experience with fundraising, donor relations or impact reporting
    • An understanding of how NGOs in Nigeria operate day to day
    • Experience in partnerships, business development or community management

    What you get

    • Equity in Bayana, vested over 4 years with a 1-year cliff
    • A paid role once we raise funding
    • A founding-team position at a company building critical infrastructure for social impact
    • Direct work with the CEO, with real influence on product and strategy
    • A flexible, remote schedule
